Zapp 1st Gear June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 ... what about the excellent Sportage GT, powerful Forester XT, or upcoming CX-5/CRV? Haha ... Choices galore in this super competitive segment! mavericke 1st Gear June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 One thing I look out for is the gearbox. I try to stay away from Dual Clutch gearboxes (remember DSG?) and CVTs. Anyone as paranoid as me about DSGs and dual clutch? fungyee77 5th Gear June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 (edited) I m going for 1.2l to 1.6l turbo charge car....Oh ok. Tiguan has a 1.4L turbo version and CRV is powered by a 1.5L turbo. Not to mention Seat Ateca has a 1.4L turbo as well. Edited June 26, 2017 by Fungyee77

mavericke 1st Gear June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 I do have my reservations about its suitability in city traffic Yes, especially in start/stop traffic situations like in SG. Also checked and found out that Seat Ateca is DSG for the 1.4. What can't they just use the Aisin 6-speed which is known for its reliability?
Laojiao 2nd Gear June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 My main reservations would be the reliability overall.

Choosh 1st Gear July 2, 2017 Share July 2, 2017 Told by SE that it does not come with Active Safety Braking. Only Lane Departure Warning which comes on at speed of above 60km/h provided you do not use the signal indicator. Now at $111,999 for Active trim only. Delivery in Oct / Nov. Metallic Copper sold out already. Limited units of red, white and black. Still have blue, grey and silver. This is the last shipment for the year according to the SE. Next shipment is next year but price will be different due to changes in emissions standards. No more -$10,000 CEVS rebate. And this is for a car that is not even on the showroom floor and has yet to be officially launched! It is just selling by itself. There were stream of people coming to view the vehicle when I was there this afternoon. Must queue and wait 20 mins just for the test-drive. SE told me they are unlikely to launch the car this year because they do not even have enough stock of the car to sell.
