Haha non guaranteed. Not high hopes

IMHO, for those who had booked cars based on NG COEs over the last 2 bidding cycles will unlikely / never get their cars - now that next quarter's quota has been slashed by 10%!

Just imagine the next wave of KCS buyers jammimg the show rooms this weekend, all clamouring for the last higher-quota bidding cycle on July 20, before the August backend! :D

And the even-longer queue of bodies at LTA, extending their COE cars by another 5 years! :D ... cos they have already run out of time waiting for their illusive $10K COEs, before their 10th year runs out!

Hi, can share more details, am sure more bros here also like to know leh:)

I can refresh the current Opel or Chervolet turbo model. Also can re-work backward. These refreshes not only provide better drivability but also better running engine. Example, the 1 liter engine is running very lean on factory map. The new map run cooler and generate more torque.

More we can share in PM.

But it means the COE will be 52301 and not 56333 right?

Yes... the COE will be $52,301 as that is the final price for that round of bidding.

The $56,333 that AD place is the maximum amount that they are willing to place to secure the COE. If the final price exceeded that amount and they did not revise it before it closes, it is not a successful bid and move on to the next round....  [;)]

Running lean to be more fuel saving? If you map it to be rich, it should affect the fuel consumption

Theoretically yes. But under our heat, lean is not so good at time. Engine get hotter and power get lesser. Will have to gas more to get it going.

You will be surprise running a bit richer and consumption get a little better.

Is this LTA friendly? As in what needs to be done during inspection? Edited by Joolz

Guys, how's the speakers for you guys uh ? Intending to change to some aftermarket ones, any recommendations? Maybe add a subwoofer.

Heard the 10" blitz audio underseat sub not bad. Not too heavy on the load as well

Yes.

I can put back original map anytime.

Both 1.0 and 1.4 output are still within COE requirements.

Within requirements means that even if u don't put back the original map, it will pass the inspection? Also, will this void the AD warranty?

Pal, this I think you know the answer. AD can't diagnosis the map. Only butt feel or dyno can see tell. Haha...

Just curious, would the remap affect engine wear and tear components? Ie piston , crankshaft, flywheel

Also considering that this is the conventional 6speed torque converter, 250nm is quite powerful already, how much more load can it withstand?
