Switching tables

was at a hot pot eatery last night with my mom, sis and wife and son.

waited for about 20mins before we were finally seated in sort-of the middle of the eatery.

so the soup came and then it was heated up and then the food came as well. and when the soup started to boil, we started to drop the food into the soup.

we had dumped all the vege into the soup before the service crew came and asked us if we could switch to another table as a group of 9 with reservation just turned up and our table was the only one that can be merged with the next to accommodate the group

even though we were about half way through, without a second thought, I just told her ok as long as she can do the switch, which she proceeded to and we just moved ourselves to the new table.

any else here as accommodating as me ?

** when we were leaving, we were surprised with a free 2 feet hello kitty plush !

Good, gracious Singaporean.   We are so proud of you!

This place would be nicer to live in if everyone starts sharing and giving in a little.

Turbocharged

I would shift too if someone else need the table more than me. As long as the staff will help me to shift all the food to new table. No issue for me

Same goes with switching ktv rooms? :D

I once volunteered to switch. Was sitting at a table with a 2-seater table on either side of me. Last 2 tables,

Saw a family come in with an elderly auntie, and they were told to wait for a 4-seater table. I called the waitress over and told her my family can shift so that that other family can get seated.

My food was not served yet so no big deal. Both the waitress and that other family were extremely grateful. And my kids learnt a bit about kindness. All winners in the end.
