Rather than 80% hike upon renewal, condo rental hike is about 50% or lower.

Overrall, rental is still higher than pre-COVID.  The increase has soften.

What do you expect 2rm HDB rental to be? $1k?

Like people say, current coe of $85k few years back can buy 2 B&B cars but now can’t even buy one B&B car.

So last time $2500 to $3000 rental can rent 5 room flat but now can only rent 2 room flat or maybe 3 room flat. 😅

Not surprising, low takeup PLH can summarize in few factors- 1) price more expensive 2) longer build + MOP time already 15yrs of property journey 3)more restrictions like subsidy clawback during sale but the big one is (cannot rent out whole unit even after MOP etc.  eg: we never know, future maybe can stay with family rent out whole unit fund retirement, always good to have this option available)

Why take longer to complete, probably due to more high floors (40) more units so more work time required.

PLH cannot rent out whole unit even after MOP? I thought only cannot rent out whole unit to certain people. Why there is such clause ar? No wonder take up so low. I think i also would not buy since cannot rent out whole unit, as it kills the golden goose to generate rental income. 😂

That's the idea. To kill off those demands who are thinking of profiteering from these flats like flipping after 5 yrs or rent out then stay private.

Good move. Maybe more HDBee should be restricted this way.
