DVT can be fatal.

My son's classmate's dad passed away because of it. He complained of pain in his leg, went to A&E but was given only painkillers. Passed away 3 days later.

My letter from the Polyclinic doctor to A&E said I should be seen immediately.

I waited in A&E for 4 hours before being seen by a doctor.

Just saying.

Dear Bro Neutrino ... sorry to hear that you have a DVT. I am certain you have had it checked out. There is good advice from MoneyFM about your compression stockings ... they need to be properly fitted.

Thanks for that. Very interesting and we should all listen to it.

Confirms a bit what I said originally that DVT hasn't had sufficient studies done and evidence one way or the other is arguable.

I'm not gonna argue as I'll take all the precautions I can.

But where to get the S$200 pressure stockings in Singapore?

Was the pain on the calf same as leg cramp?

Any skin discoloring or itch similar to ezcema?

I’m having both occasionally...my father has AAA but exhibited similar symptoms on the legs... and I’m concerned for myself...

Pain a bit similar to cramp but much more localized.  The statin I've been taking for many years gave me severe leg cramp but that was more severe but short lived.

I didn't have any skin discolouration or itch just a swelling of the calf muscle.
