I am just wondering if long term use of Caltex w/Techron solve the issue of DI engine. Having port/DI was one of the main deciding factor when I bought the current vehicle because minimally will at least reach 200k km within 10-year COE. For hybrid, the only time the engine will be stress will be cold start, in EV mode, after short while, the engine start - for Atkinson cycle engine. 🤣 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Gnahp Twincharged March 23, 2024 Author Share March 23, 2024 I just checked my W204 maintenance record the misfire caused by the gunk accumulated at the back of the intake valves happened at 224k km in the beginning I tried those injector cleaners, not improved after 2 bottles ignition coils ok, spark plugs ok symptom was misfiring momentarily when open throttle during cruising i.e. overtaking 3 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
