Tianmo Hypersonic September 3, 2024 Share September 3, 2024 Went to molest the Mifa 7 today, and otw out took a look at the Mifa 9. Must say the Mifa 9 looks and feels luxurious, the 2 middle row seats are like sofas. But I think Mifa 7 is more practical, and the 3rd row sits real great. Might go for a test drive one of these days.

Based on reviews, the fit and finish and refinement of 7 should be better than 9. My personal view. The 9 is obviously bigger, but other than the bigger size which gives a little more rooms here and there, the main difference is in the leather of the seats, and the 2 middle seats. Feel like sitting on a sofa, but arm rest is fixed I think, because of the sofa like chair seats. Feels dark inside, and the 3rd row appears a big contrast to the 2nd row premium feel. The 7 feels bright inside, some plastics hidden, but what you can see are all covered with soft leather. The leather on the seats are soft, but doesn't feel will last better than the 9. The 2rd row seats are quite similar to those of the Noah/Voxy and spada. What impressed me the most is the 3rd row, it is lifted up and can be declined, so it really feels like sitting in a sedan and not half squated like the rest in it's class. Can sit 3 nicely, but 2 will be ideal. Downside is it affects the boot. The boot is not big, and because of the rise 3rd low seats, when folded down create a step up boot. I feel the 9 is more of a commercial transfer use, and the 7 is more for family use. After seeing both, I cannot find a reason to take the 9 over the 7 even if they are of the same price, other than maybe the limited colors in the 7. Almost unusable. If not ferrying someone in 3rd row, probably need to put down. Whereas the hybrid vehicles the boot is bit deeper and still somewhat usable. Actually I don't think the boot is not usable, it depends on what you need to carry daily. Depth is definitely short, so square items more than 30cm one side is likely out, but with the height, can take a few luggages (maybe 2 bigs or 1 big 2 smalls) with some bags. Those square trolley box cfm cannot fit. 1 good no 2 good, I guess trade off somewhere, so personally for me, I prefer to have that elevated 3rd row seats over a flat boot if I really have to choose. But actually even put down the whole row or 60/40, the boot not only still not very big, it looks kind of funny and not user friendly.

M7 is not bad but smaller in size and also the center row gap to the 3rdseat. Gap is not big enough for those big thighs guys of 90 kilo & above to squeeze through. Sturtles 6th Gear October 31, 2024 Share October 31, 2024 With COE expecting to trend down, perhaps its time to consider MIFA 7 for family tasks Saw the BYD M6 over the weekend, and its terrific value, except for the badge and its predecessor BYD song and E6( which is the same car) used as Grab and Taxis. Maxus is an unknown too ( historically linked to British Leyland motors)... just one of the many sub-brands for SAIC Perhaps the Enciks from the 50s and 60s can share more about it
Jev 1st Gear October 31, 2024 Share October 31, 2024 SAIC is one of the biggest automakers in the world that no one outside of China knows about. Wouldn't be worried about them. Maxus and LDV have quite a long history of making commercial and passenger vans, so they know how to make a van.
