The specification stated the range can be set from 7 amp to 32 amp not 32 amp points. :we-all-gonna-die:

Let's say even this thing can plug into a 13A socket and charge some 3kwh, which is about good for some 15-20km. Other then from your own home, anywhere else you plug in without owner permission is technically consider stealing energy right? Where else can you use this legally, not paying and consider not stealing? [laugh][laugh]

You can adjust the charging rate from 10A to 32A, giving you a charging power of 2.4kwh to 7kwh, but you still need a 32A socket, and not just plug into any 13A outlet hor. -_- [laugh][laugh]

The 1st question is "If I own a Landed property"

Landed property have to install the wall charger with 32amp 3-pin female socket.

Thats for fix charger.

I am buying a portable charger. :slow:

I have wrote to the seller and received reply that I don't need. There are 3 types of charger when you open the web site. What you mentioned was the 2nd one which is the wall charger install on landed property.

Maybe I am wrong but since their office is beside C&C, 239 Alexandra Road Rd. I go bang table. :yuush:

Unker, until you still don't understand.

To use the charger, you need this

Without this, how do you charge?

I know it's a portable EV charger and not a wall charger, but where you going to plug the portable charger into to get current?  This is not like a roadie portable charger which is a mega 充电宝 leh.

Unless maybe you get a 13A 3 pin adapter cable, which if can support will give you a max of about 3kwh charge. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Bro, you should be cognisant of the types of charger and charging points, given you are owning an EV.

This is the trade off for the new tech and exclusivity.

The plug is 32A single phase, and this is not common in public. You could splice a 13A to 32A adapter but the control unit may not accept it

The useful portable charger is the one used by Tesla, powering from standard household plug.

That is about 13A/240 or 3kW as shared by Tianmo, which is better than none when the specialty chargers are occupied/vandalised/out of order/ don't recognise ur credit card/no phone app reception.

Till there is widespread adoption and accommodation, that will be the constant pain for the path of EV ownership.

Bro, all 13amp is not approved for local sales.

Not sure illegal to use or not.

TB can get good quality for SGD100+

Hmm...

that's sad.. because the charging brick makes Teslas versatile. Without it, there will be much more range anxiety situations.

I remember there was a Chua Chu Kang condo break-in by a Tesla owner to use its 13A socket in the condo's MSCP

https://stomp.straitstimes.com/singapore-seen/tesla-driver-allegedly-breaks-open-electrical-box-at-exec-condos-carpark-to-charge#:~:text=A Tesla driver has sparked,30)%2C at around 3pm.

Likely he is using a similar charging brick

For 13a, need to reduce it to 10a for charging.

Otherwise, plug might be too hot.

I am not sure of the requirements under charging rules
