Yes, we now have 25 Chinese passenger car brands here (including the now defunct Neta and recently MIA JMEV). More to come if you follow new launches in the other RHD market such as Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, and such.

Arcfox, found in 2017, is a sub-brand under BAIC group, making it older than brands like iCar / iCaur, IM, Jaecoo, Omoda, Ora, Zeekr, etc.

Move reflects BAIC’s further expansion into right-hand drive markets in Asia-Pacific

Car group Volt Auto has been appointed as the authorised distributor in Singapore for two brands from major Chinese carmaker Beijing Automotive Group Company – BAIC and Arcfox.

Soh Ming, CEO of Volt Auto, confirmed this on Thursday (Sep 17), with its subsidiary Volt Auto Venture appointed as distributor.

He told The Business Times that new showrooms will be set up for the brands. Sales are expected to begin in January 2027 with debut models encompassing four sport utility vehicle (SUV) models across different segments.

Ehm all Chinese EV seems to look like each other in some way. Take this Arcfox T1 for example.

It has the vibes of Avatar (the lower bumoer), BYD Atto 2 (over size and shape), and the C-pillar look similar to Dongfeng Box.

To survive in out brutal market, it will dependent on pricing, model offering and probably marketing. Look at Seres, which is one of the top 10 EV group in China, they have sold <10 Seres 3 (8 cat A + 1 cat B to be exact) in the past 2 years, how long more can they tong?

BAIC / Arcfox is going to ask Volt Auto to do what they've been doing for Dongfeng, plus incentives to do more.

Move the metal and do over +500 units of sales in under two years. Then reach +1,000 unit of sales within four years.
