Badder Neutral Newbie November 22, 2011 Share November 22, 2011 You may be aware that occassionaly one or two offenders are found here. I am not sure if they would end up visiting IMH regularly if banned from here (anticipated about 10% of Singaporeans will have mental issues). I consider ourselves lucky with such a percentage below 10%. rule 12: no crying to the mods lol seriously how old are you?

Rocky35 1st Gear March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 May I know why I can't create a new topic? Do I need some minimum post count? Or is there something else wrong? Appreciate if a kind soul would like to create the topic and copy-paste for me. I was trying to create a new post in Japanese car section to discuss EV's. Particularly, calculation of their per km running costs in Singapore, given our electricity costs about S$0.2759 and our 92RON petrol costs about $2.150 at the moment. A Nissan Leaf has US EPA efficiency rating of 21.25 kWh per 100 km. That's about S$5.86 per 100 km. (at local electricity cost) My own experience with a 2006 Prius, is a long term average of 5 litres per 100 km. So this is about S$10.75 per 100 km. (based on today's price of 92RON petrol) Of course, US EPA rating is most likely too optimistic for Singapore city driving. Using the only worst case cycle of the 5-cycle EPA test, the Leaf's efficiency should be about 32.71 kWh per 100 km, and should cost S$9.03 per 100 km. Still better than what I get in my Prius (city+expressway driving).
