it is the same for both manual or auto.....thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

For layman explaination, maybe you can try reading your owner's manual...it is usually stated inside on how to run-in your new car....thumbsup.gif

For our meetup, we usually meet at the Bishan Golf Driving Range food court at the end,

Check out the meetup folder for the map , date and time of every meetup.....thumbsup.gif

Best is to check with ur sales agent, they should have told u. A general way, try not to ram ur engine above 3500rpm, do not sudden accelerate, travel at various speed, the running in mileage should be at least 2000km.

But don't go running on the highway day and night just to reach ur 2000km mileage cos travelling at various speed and different gears is desired.

Thanks for your reply.

So can I rev up abit more after I hit 2000km?

My sales agent only told me not to drive the car hard for first 1000km. Thats all.

I guess I read too much article on the net and now I am confused on how to run in the car. [crazy]

run in your car slowly...

dun hit above 80 or rather 90

rpm also dun exceed 2.5k rpm

esp brakes..no hard braking..

no hard acceleration..

Thanks.

Did all that u stated.

Actually, I have already hit more than 1000km and went for 1st servicing. But not sure what to do after that?

The beast in me tells me to go rev up the car while my wife tell me not to spoil the car. [crazy]
