Saw the GT model on paper today. Looks quite chio! However, wonder what's the performance like.

Saw the Mazda 3 and 2 at showroom today, with their 5-6 different options.

 

Pros [ol] [*]Very Nice-looking - both interior and exterior. Zero-facing dials, Tiptronic gearbox, damn chio foglights. Esp the Mazda RS and GTS[*]Various options to suit budget and taste[/ol]

 

Cons [ol] [*]Expensive - starts from 78K for Mazda 2, and 80++ for Mazda 3 [*]The looks across the Mazda range too alike, from afar, it's now beginning to become diff to tell whether it is a 3, 6, or RX-8, liek a small medium or large. Headlights and tailights assembly, profile are very similar, resulting in Mazda 6 and Rx-8 to lose value relatively. RX-8 is one my favourite, but now that the 3 has been released, I would nvr consider the rx-8 anymore, becos it really looks similar. [*]Engine heard so-so[/ol]

i test drove the car today

 

quite good handling for a jap car. however, it still loses out to focus, megane and the optra. but i would say it beat lancer and and altis in terms of handling. My honest opinions only :) hope anyone owning any of the above car just take it with a pinch of salt.

 

i floored the pedal and the pickup is reasonably good but the downside is that it is a bit noisy. well, but it certainly deserves a consideration over its conventional japanese siblings.

not enought se to bring the customers for test drive....waited for some time then left.

 

decided to try my luck at welltac at henderson.....and managed to get a test drive.

New or old Megane? The new one, I've read, is not strong in the handling department.
