what's the different between Lsi and Esi?

what i know is that Esi come with Vtec engine and had 125hp with 5500rpm

then what about Lsi?

how much HP Esi had when the rpm not more than 5500rpm?

Isit that Esi faster than Lsi alot more when come to speed?

Lsi will never win Esi when come to speed whatever Lsi do any molification?

lsi is carburetor model.

esi is fuel injection model.

however unsure whether lsi got vtec or not. if i remember clearly it should be no vtec.

lsi rear brake is drum and only 1.5l wheras esi is rear disc and 1.6l.

esi in fc will be much better thus it fuel injection. carburetor car are known to be thirsty.

LSi, 1.5 SOHC with approx 93 horse power. Still good for Singapore road use at 90km/hr.

ESI does not have VTEC iirc, only VTI has VTEC for '92~'95 EG models.

Instead of worrying performance, worry about its reliablity instead, since they are going 20 years old.

Lsi is 1.5litre sohc without vtec and with lower redline.

Esi is 1.6litre sohc vtec with redline at 7,200 rpm.

if i remember correctly, the Esi peak power of 125bhp is at about 6,600-6,800rpm.

and nobody will ask question what is the power below 5,500rpm as it is not fix because the power depends on how much and fast you step on the gas pedal.

there are no limits to modifications so the Lsi still can win a stock Esi.

Esi has 4 disc brakes and power side mirror but the Lsi doe not has them.

3 door Esi has got sunroof but 3 door Lsi does not has sunroof.

Lsi is not carburetor. It's DPFI (Dual Point Fuel Injection).

On the side note: Is there any diff for EG series SiR and VTI?

Some 2nd dealers are selling SiR at the much higher price than VTI, when they are supposedly the same respected B16A engine??

Eyeing one EG or EK hatch civic, but don't mind it is an LSI for Singapore, no place for you to race also.

ESI have vtec la. If you don't know, dun anyhow say.

ESI SOHC VTEC (125bhp)

ESI SOHC VTEC ZC engine (130bhp)

LSI SOHC non-Vtec (90+BHP)

VTI DOHC Vtec ( 160-170bhp)

EG SiR? if iam not wrong you meant the limited model which is using B16 Dohc Vtec engine.

i think only left about 1-2 in singapore.

it comes in 3 door only and without sunroof.

come people says it is equivalent to the EK civic Type R model.

Gentlemen,

For LSI and ESI. Which model do you all think that it is better in terms of overall performance?

Rank according to performance

LSI(EG5?) > ESI(EG8/EH9) > VTI (EG6/EG9) > SIR (EK4) > TYPE R (EK9)

If possible, get the EG6 or EG9, dohc vtec is definitely better

I'm driving an ESI now, regretted not going for dohc [:p]

If buying Honda without B-tec might as well dont buy. Buy other brands. It is not whether to race or not but there is difference. Anyway, ESI got v-tec hor.
