Tyre noise

just upped to 17" with dunlop direzza tyres from 15" bridgestone. i was rather happy with the rims till i got to 60 km/h and then the noise just hit me. i thought my last set was already quite bad / noisy, but this set really shocked me...

is this tyre noise typical of 17", low profile tyres? or is it the brand and make? the workshop boss told me it's quite a quiet tyre, but heh... i really don't think so

could it be the rims?

will soundproofing help?

now i can't enjoy my stereo properly... [:(][:(]

your profile should be 45 or 40, right?

tyre noise will be higher....so I guess you will have to do sound proofing....nod.gif

I think will probably cost more than that to do the entire car with good quality sound proofing that is also not too bulky and heavy. If more than that, might as well go for quieter tires. heh.

It's like u mod something, then must mod again to counter the negative effects of the first mod.
