Dhti Neutral Newbie July 7, 2004 Share July 7, 2004 Hi bros... just to throw in a topic for your guys opinions???? 5W50 understand that the first numeric represent cold weather, right? which means to say it will affect ppl driving in colder climate asin the starting temperature allowance, right? the second set represent the opposite right? which means sometimes our local temperature can be as high as 40 deg... so wouldn't make it a 0W40 - the second set to be minimal of 40 give protection? Virus 2nd Gear July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 Logically right, but people here dun really red-line everytime, so the engine temperature didn't reach max. 40 or even 30 is enough protection.
