Jagash Neutral Newbie August 16, 2004 Share August 16, 2004 OK but 15 minutes still damn fast! BTW, you need to use a lubricant like a quick detailer or shampoo solution to do claybar. Water alone is not enough! ↡ Advertisement
Karsoon Neutral Newbie August 16, 2004 Share August 16, 2004 Yep! Thanks for the tip! I use zaino shampoo. Very foamy. Love it.
Jagash Neutral Newbie August 16, 2004 Share August 16, 2004 I not used Zaino shampoo before but should be good. I am on Meguiars either Gold Class or the NXT shampoo. Gold class is very lubricating but NXT is better in preventing dust from getting attracted to the surface.
Ahliew Neutral Newbie August 16, 2004 Share August 16, 2004 is Kit spot free shampoo good compared to the others you people use?
Karsoon Neutral Newbie August 16, 2004 Share August 16, 2004 ok man! will give meguiars a try once I finish my zaino shampoo. Still got a couple of new bottles sitting in the closets. hehee.
Jagash Neutral Newbie August 16, 2004 Share August 16, 2004 Never use Kit spot free shampoo. Basically for shampoo, most important function is that it must have good lubricating function and not harshon the paintwork. Alll other functions (spot free, anti-static etc) are not critical. Steelblue Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 when getting shampoo avoid those 2 in one wash and wax when you use zaino or klasse, it might affect their durability , as Jagash mentioned, avoid those harsh shampoos (eg. non brand names one -from china or watever, you never know what's in them)

Surfdday Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Hi Steelblue, I just had my car done up with Tuff Kote System 6. I had a bottle of Armour wash & wax. Is it really not recommended? surfdday
Jagash Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Yup! Fully agree ..no go for wash with wax shampoo.
Steelblue Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 I'm not familiar with Tuff Kote System 6, is it a sealant type where you can layer ? If it is then imho, I wouldn't use the wash and wax type of shampoo as you want the surface as clean as possible for them to bond to the previous layer.
Jagash Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 For system 6, can layer wax on top but cannot apply other sealant...it will not bond. I am also on system 6 and I layer it with S100 carnuaba wax. For shampoo, better to use those without wax added.....the reason being that when you sue the shampoo, you want to get rid of the dirt but with the wax there, you are actually trapping the dirt into the wax. Do your waxing after washing but if you have time, then do wash, pre-wax cleaner and then wax. BTW, what colour is your ride?
Jagash Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 There a group doing W&W at Bukit Panjang every Sunday morning. Look up in the meeting folder for details. BTW, where do you stay and which day of the week is good for you to W&W.
Surfdday Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Thanks Jagash! Better throw away wash & wax shampoo then. Anyway, it was left over from my last ride. Stop driving for about 2 years already. My new ride is a Matrix 1.6A Roty red.

Assassin Clutched August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Wah ! Wonder what they mean by aggressive man. Not even any explanation on the back ? I think their official website also did not explain anything about the application. Its on the packaging itself.. not on the box label.
Assassin Clutched August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Hi Steelblue, I just had my car done up with Tuff Kote System 6. I had a bottle of Armour wash & wax. Is it really not recommended? surfdday It is not advisable to use the Armorall Wash & Wax shampoo...ie. the purple bottle. Would be better to use the normal Armorall Shampoo.. blue bottle. For tougher grime etc.. can use the green bottle.
Steelblue Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Surfdday, don't throw away the wash & wax...save it for the wheels and rims ↡ Advertisement
