Errr..... you'll need to hold the squeegee flat to the surface, otherwise it won't work well. Then might as well just use the cloth to sweep away the collected water. Only possible efficient area I can think of is the roof where the surface is wide, quite flat and hard to reach the entire surface w/o going over to the other side.

If the colour of your ride is dark colour. My advise is... dun use the wiper blade to wipe away the water.

You'll end up having fine scratches...

go for spin dry ie. drive around for 5 mins at high speed. confirm all excess water will be gone! if lucky, dont even have to wipe dry thereafter thumbsup.gif

please DO NOT use wiper blade or squeegee for drying purposes, they are not meant for car paint . If you want , you can try Autoglym Hydra Flexi Blade ( http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Product...Blade_154.html) , but I have since stopped using mine as I suspect one of the tiny scratches came from the blade when it caught dirt. I would strongly recommend getting a good waffle weave microfiber towel, it's excellent in drying.

SteelBlue,

2 questions:

1. Does Autoglym Hydra Flexi Blade really work, and is it safe on the paintwork, i.e. any experience with scratch.

2. What's a waffle weave microfiber towel? Is it really absorbent, and where can I get it?

1.Yes it does work, but not so great on curvy surface, best on flat surface like the hood. I don't use it on the paint anymore as I got scratches due to dirt on the tip of the blade, so I leave the HFBlade for windows and windscreen.

Do I recommend you getting it? No.

2.waffle weave mf is an micorfibre towel woven with waffle sort of pattern on it. The reason I like it a lot is it's very thirsty and soak up very quickly leaving no streak, hence no waterspots. Another thing is wwmf "gives you a little "margin of error"! Not only does it dry, but it is soft enough to cushion against any particles of dirt/dust that may still be on the vehicle. It can pull some of that stuff up into the towel, and prevent marring/spider webs of the surface"(quote from another forum).

I bought my mf starter kits from here http://www.poorboysworld.com/microfiber.htm, those are really quality mfs and wwmf is included in the kit.

Jagash,

Where did you get your waffle weave mf cloth? SteelBlue's bought his from US based webstore, not worth the money in shipment. Any where to get it in Singapore?
