Which amp???

Went to Zoom yesterday and spoke to Geoff. Great guy.

 

I am going to do up my system with him. Trying to decide which amp to use.

 

He suggested the CDTs Eurosports for the front (which I will be using).

 

Now I am trying to consider which amp for the speakers.

 

Several candidates:-

 

1. Autotek 300.2

2. Autotek 550.2

3. Precision Power 440

4. Precision Power 480

5. Genesis Dual mono (really top of the line).

 

Hoping to hear the Dual mono tomorrow but not sure if the price is something I would pay for. I am inclined to go for either 2 or 4.

 

Any suggestions?

 

Also, what amp to drive a 10" kicker sub?

 

Can some kind soul help me to put this up at the ice forum? Can't seem to make any postings there yet. Thanks in advance.

How much does the top of the line Genesis Dual mono cost?

If you are considering something high end, how about the TubeDriver Blue? AutoS had it setup in his Vito and you should have a listen if you have not.

 

Otherwise, I think the AutoTek SS550.2 would be a good choice.

 

For the sub, can consider the AutoTek SS550.2 too.

The Autoteks should give the best bang for $. The PPI amps should be more expensive than those Autoteks.Have u checked the prices already?

 

U need to find out whether the Kicker sub is DVC or SVC, impedance and find an amp to match it. Some amps are not 2 ohms stable when bridged. So u need to really read the specs carefully

 

Bought the 6.5" Eurosports already?
