Servicing

Hi,

 

I am new to this forum. My car will be due for 20K servicing in about a month.

 

Any advice on which place to go for cheap and good servicing?

 

I am driving a near to 4 months old Nissan Sunny 1.6EX (A).

 

Heard the TC Motor is very expensive.

Why dont you go back to the agent for servicing in case they void your warranty.

Well, I went to stamford tyres. They got free tyre rotation/balancing cost about $98. But they only change oil and add water. The rest they do not check. They told me if I go for the annual package they will check. Anyway under warranty go back to agent. Anyway servicing in spore belly ex.

maybe u can try merlin at AMK Auto Point. Costs about $48 using Mobil 1 super XHp engine oil. Look for jacky.. i'm considering them for my 20k svc too.

juz make sure they use the same oil as TC and orig nissan filter & plugs. warranty shld be unaffected.

Think I will try Autosaver coz my place is nearby.

 

TC is too expensive. Cannot afford lah, especially when bulk of my cash goes to petrol. The car gulp petrol like water!

Make sure they change for you the right type of spark plugs and also the oil filter.

i think they smoke u, if u refer to this site, http://www.stamfordtyres.com/tpl/promotion/oilservicing.html, u will notice that they have to check and topup all the fluids, even in the $98 package....

Is yrs a new car and this is the first 5k servicing? If so, you would be sending it to the car agent rite? For Toyota cars, they only change the engine oil for initial 5k servicing. Some of the more kiasu ones would change the oil filter as well. I recommend just use mineral oil.

Since you are going to TC, you might want to consider their windscreen treatment. It sure can expel the rain away!

 

Tried it on mine since May and it is still working beautiful with the rain. Useful, especially these few days.

Yah, for the coolant they just add water when I ask them that one is water har. They said coolant cannot add too much. The main thing is the adding of the oil, adding water and water, tyre rotation and balancing. If I have the equipment I can also change myself. No skill involved. Next time I will try other workshop.

 

One more thing $98 does not include spark plug.

err....mave, which branch did u go to? did u tell them n show them their servicing package which they hang up? the only thing is u hv to pay additional if u r having dohc, gdi etc.......better screw them man....
