Genie47 1st Gear September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 All the same lah! Except SPC cheaper thanks to the discount with depending on the cards. I will then ask you a question in return. How is Stella Artois beer? Anybody drink before? How's it if compare to Tiger and Carlsberg?
Sotong_kia Neutral Newbie September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 But beer different leh.. Carlsberg not as bitter as Tiger. Stella Artois not so gassy. Kilkenny more smooth.. (My favourite)
Ah_veo Neutral Newbie September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 i think petrol is machiam milk powder to newborn babies. juz stick to 1 brand. frequent change, the baby oso blur!
Cheekg99 Neutral Newbie September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 SPC not really good petrol ... runs out fast
XLR8 1st Gear September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 Agree, SPC petrol burns up much faster than the rest.
Cheekg99 Neutral Newbie September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 mot sure what they add into their petrol ... why burn faster ?
Vivioman Neutral Newbie September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 Actually what we have to think about is not the difference between the KINDS of petrol, but the difference in the cleanliness of the individual stations' PETROL STORAGE TANKS...kekeke... We can have the highest grade petrol but it's of no use if it is stored in tanks which are not cleaned frequently, resulting in sediments from the previous batch's fill etc...keke

Marcz Neutral Newbie September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 i've been on spc 98 for quite sometime, was using shell 95/98 previously, i still feel shell gives better mileage

Chingfrog Neutral Newbie September 19, 2004 Author Share September 19, 2004 so, which station u think can provide better petrol in term of cleanliness?
Hoppe Clutched September 20, 2004 Share September 20, 2004 my personal experience with SPC, Mobil/Esso and Shell. Shell definitely gives better mileage. SPC's the worst. Mobil/Esso is in the middle but engine sound coarser. Mileage average, ok.
Wenz Neutral Newbie September 20, 2004 Share September 20, 2004 Been using shell for about 5 years now. Within the last 2 months, i tried SPC about 3 times.. Still been getting same mileage. So i can't really tell the difference. Now pumping Shell 95. Regarding the discount from SPC, there was 1 time I noticed that the price at SPC was higher than at Shell. I believe it was about 0.04 cents diff. Not that petrol prices had changed. Hence skeptical about the actual savings. Jus a thought. Maybe u guys and take a peek and see if it's true. Hitman Neutral Newbie September 20, 2004 Share September 20, 2004 Think it has to do with the car as well. When I was driving a Lancer ... it prefers Mobil (before merger) When I was driving a Toyota ... it too prefers Mobil Leaded (before merger) When I was driving Peugeot ... it only likes SHELL (even on the petrol cap got SHELL logo ) My 323 prefers Esso / Mobil .... the 323 on Shell feels coarse, worse if you are on Shell Helix Ultra. On Mobil 1 and Esso/Mobil combo ... it just sounds to sweet , and gives good mileage too
Hoppe Clutched September 20, 2004 Share September 20, 2004 hehe...yeah. I think it depends on the car. Sometimes same make but different car also like to drink different petrol.
Hitman Neutral Newbie September 20, 2004 Share September 20, 2004 Ya ... funny right , these cars also got a mind of their own .... thats why I call my car .... my youngest child ... very expensive and very pampered
Hoppe Clutched September 20, 2004 Share September 20, 2004 hehe, so you can bear to "scrap" your youngest child ah? To me, car is more like a maid to me. Can change once contract's (COE) up. If performance good, can renew contract (COE). ↡ Advertisement
