I'm driving a 1.3A 2nd hand getz.. at 1st the FC is sxck.. only getting like 9-9.5km/l for full tank..

Yes no doubt getz is quite a heavy drinker.. but the FC can be improve depending on how u ride on it.. and also the type of traffic conditions that ur ride is always in.. more expressway, better FC.

For me, after getting the car, i change the stock filter to KNN Drop in and with CAI then FC become ard 10-10.5km/l..

Then change to try the short ram open pod with heat shield and cai, i could get like ard 10.5 to 11km/l...

Now I'm trying with the SJ-CAI system which was created by one of the technical person by the nick of whitesnail who is pretty reputable in the club hyundai and getz club forum whom help to modify cars for the members. Now my FC can reached ard 11-12km/l.

Imagine the peak hours traffic conditions.. the FC is pretty good...

Recently one of the members from Getzclub had joined the shell challenge with the modifications that he had done with whitesnail and he's getting like 18km/l during the challenge.. of course air con was switch off and heavy things are unloaded from the car..

If u guys aware.. Hyundai Sonata actually won the challenge... [;)]

Humm.. if gearbox problem and u are driving a hyundai cars.. go back to KMC to get it check since is still under warranty..

If is cranking problem, it might be due to alternator or batt problem.. [;)]

yup. back to KMC. but be prepared for long waiting time. spent nearly 5 hours there, just to install foglights.

i disagree that hyundai getz has a heavy fuel consumption. i am driving a 1.6A, currently achieving about 11km/l. I am still going thru my running in process. No mods done. I wouldnt say that i am a light footer either

yup. definitely can. but to increase the fc at the expense of driving pleasure... definitely not worth it. am at 3.3k mileage now, can still notice my fc increasing. but afterall, its an auto, so cant ask for much.
