Hi Just attempt to change the power window switch from the centre console to the side of the steering wheel(like GetzFie) But the original power window switch is too small to cover the entire hole for the new location. does anyone know where i can buy the switch that fits perfectly into the hole? Looking for a second hand ride, 1000cc to 1300cc ride, low road tax, low fc and somewhat reliable. Looking at picanto or Getz. Which is a better choice. Prob a 4 to 5 years old ride. Any advise or any other recommendation? Thank you. Think to have a fair view, Bro Picanto cannot give suggestions..... Haaaa just joking, any advise us welcum.

hi all, im driving a hyundai getz 1.1m for the past 1.5 years, no major issues at all. after 4 dec, every time it rains the water is somehow leaking into the passenger footwell area, and i mean its gushing in. ive dried out the floor mat but the carpet itself is soaked n can only hope for it to dry over time. i have no idea where this leak is and how the water is getting in. i took the car to one workshop, they said that its an aircon issue and they wanna clean out the entire blower, cost S200. took to another worksop, the guy looked at the car for 1 hour but could not find any leak. any kakis or getz owner face this issue before and any way to solve this? any help is appreciated.. even if u can suggest any workshop who have come across something like this. thanks all!

Hello, I am seriously thinking of getting a used Getz. In the small car category, I like its look and space and I also think that it should be quite reliable There are few variants avaiable - 1.1M, 1.3A & 1.4A (will not condier the 1.6 version). Like to seek opinion from fellow Getz owners which vaiant is the best amongst all, and what is the reasonable price for a 2 ~ 3 yr old car ? From Straits times and online carmart, the price of a close to 3yr old Getz is around 30K. Is this a fair value to pay for ? The other option I am considering is to get a OPC at < 20K and convert it to a normal plate, which will work out to be around 30K. Also, if anyone is thinking of letting go your Getz, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Kakis, Need advice from fellow MCFers regarding my hyundai getz 06'. Been using the car over 1.5 yrs now since bought second hand, no problems so far. Just lately, the steering makes a clunk clunk noise when i turn full left (left in particular cuz it doesnt make the sound when i turn full right). any fellow getz owner face same problem and would u know of any possible remedy? Or any recommended workshop that i can to to check it out? Thanks!

I have a 2006 Hyundai, 5 door, Getz with the 1.6 lt motor and five speed gearbox, the problem is that about 80kms per hour the car develops a vibration you can feel it and hear it. It does not come through the steering and I have had the tyres checked and balanced. It is most noticeable when in fourth gear at 80kms, if you put it into fifth which reduces the engine revs the vibration is not as noticeable, then by the time you get to 100kms the vibration is gone. It is also noticeable when accelerating at lower speeds whilst in second and third gear whilst gaining momentum. Have you any suggestions on what it might be and what should I fix or replace first any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Bros, my Getz is 8yrs old with 100k mileage. a) Recently, noted that when I step/dab accl, can hear high pitch squel, not loud but still audible. b) Despite changing to new battery, occasionally car sounds "stressed" starting up. ( though can start at 1st attempt) c) never change alternator b4. Not sure about starter motor. d) Steering wheel produces soft whiny sound when turning. But other than that, cant feel any diff. e) slightly higher idling. approx. from 650rpm to now 700-750 rpm. f) I am the only owner since new. g) No mods done other than cosmetic. h) Timing belt changed at 80k mileage & did the SOP major servicing. (also changed engine mount ) I) Used a KNN filter from 17k - 97k mileage. Now using normal air filter. J) Recently changed cooling coil for air con. Any bro here able to advice what could be wrong & the approx. cost to replace those parts? Thanks.

hi folks, Asking on behalf of a friend who just bought a '06 1.4A Getz recently. The car did not come with the original manuals but he managed to download some pdfs from the web...mainly for body repair and electricals. He wasn't able to find the user manual or service manual. Any bros can advise where to get copies of these? My friend is planning to send his car for service soon so will be great if you can also advise how many litres of engine oil and gearbox oil required for his ride. thank you

hi bros, I just bought a used '07 Getz 1.1M. Everything is stock on the car except it comes with an open pod filter. Is it expensive to change back to stock air box? I intend to purchase one from stockist and DIY replace it. Anything I need to look out for? Also will appreciate if you can recommend cheap place to get Hyundai parts as I am 1st time Korean car buyer :) thank you.

Hi bros, I am looking for a used Getz 1.1M recently and have been browsing through the ads in sgcarmart. I notice several cars have sports pedals installed for brake and accelerator but not for the clutch. It's strange.....until I went for a test drive today and the car also had 2 sports pedals installed only. Clutch pedal was with the stock black rubber. So it's too much of a coincidence. When I test drive the car, I realised the biting point for the clutch is way too high...very difficult to drive especially in the 1st gear. Is this the norm for all Getz manual? The salesman said it can be easily adjusted but when I did a search online it seemed to suggest that the clutch in Getz is hydraulic one and the biting point cannot be adjusted. Only the freeplay can be adjusted and that is minimal. High biting point = clutch worn?? Any bros can advise? Thanks very much!

Need some advice on the following. Looking at getting a second car for the missus who just passed license. Objective is a cheap small hatchback for her to get used to driving and work (she's in sales). Pretty much narrowed down to Getz or Swift. Can any past/current drivers share your experience? Be it maintenance, FC, positive or negative encounters. Btw, quite a few engine variants, so remember to list your engine too! Thanks in advance!

hi fellow bros. i've decided to buy a Getz OPC and i intend to go to the car showroom this weekend. however, i still cant decide whether to get 1.4a or 1.6a. will have to carry full load usually (which means 5 adults including driver). the price difference between the 2 cars are abt $500 (i think.. anyone can cfm?) but im worried abt the FC. isit worth getting the 1.6 cos of the extra power and ABS? wad more difference are there b/w the 2 cars? also, wad freebies should i ask from my SE? thanks in advance for your advices!

hi brothers. my 2 absorbers at the back of the vehicle is kinda fu**ed... the ride is super bumpy can anyone tell me where i can buy original absorber with spring? new or 2nd hand been asking a few workshops but they all say no stock i can get the absorber but no spring ... can any brothers help me out ? my getz is a 2004 1.6m hatchback

As above, just needed as much inputs as possible :) Just friendly discussion on what you heard or know about this 2 models Thank you, do kindly stick to this 2 cars as have narrowed down, in cars every $50 increment in installment can get a different model. Kia rio i believe the FC is better and space wise would win getz though getz has good spacing in the budget hatchback group. getz looks slightly better but heard scary stuff about the FC. Price wise almost similiar, hence a bit undecided. Cheers
