Motorgard servicing

just asking has anyone gone to motorgard for servicing? somemore they have this (not sure free anot) collection of your car for servicing. saves me the effort of going to tampines to service.

They are very cheap, but they will also tell you other parts need replacing...blah, blah.... Standard of service is so, so.

They will have to make $$$ from other parts. They will go bust if they only do standard servicing.

Tyres are cheap, but have to check the manufacture date (week/year) to make sure it is not too old. Tyres compound will harden even when not in use.

how to check? any indication on the tyre wall? please advise. thanks.

You can find a 4-digit code on tyre wall like 2504, indicate make on week 25 of year 2004.

Their marketing strategy will only ( pl don't flame) attracts the so call "D" grade customers who want services and parts cheap,good and fast. Where on earth you can get free lunch. Almost all workshops operates out of HDB outlets will have almost the same direct cost. The only way for well run workshops to differential themselves from the " can-do" types is to have conduitive working enviorments, good housekeeping, recruit and retain trained technicians and provides services in a professional manner. For thses shops they cannot be cheap and good, they can be very good and and not so fast. They have to charge a premium to service. Why should they make the car owners happy and they and thier families have live from hand to mouth.

If you want to have trouble free services for your car, scount around for reliable and professional auto technicians and support him or his company by making yourself of of thier reqular customers.
