Windscreen antenna

Hi all,

just want to know if there's anything I can do to boost the reception of my windscreen antenna. The stock antenna is embedded into the rear windscreen. Looks as if it's part of the demister in the rear windscreen.

The reception is damm poor. I've went to an audio shop. Was told that the only option is to change it to a front windscreen indoor antenna. I'm skeptical as to if it'll really be more effective.

Any comments?

Reception poor as in....always hear buzz sound. Like noise. And it's occuring almost...like half of the time. ie, if you listen to 10 seconds of radio, most likely 5 secs of the audio will be filled with buzzingly sound.

Mine is rear windscreen antenna, embedded into the windscreen one. It look just like the demister line. I was told a front windscreen antenna that sticks on the front windscreen helps alot.

But if yours is already a front windscreen stick-on antenna, and if it's also not very good, then.....hmm......

My stock antenna is the same type as yours but I am very happy with the reception.

Could it be some tuning on the HU that has been turned off? Something freq step or some reception enhancement stuff.....

I am using front windscreen indoor antenna. Had it on the old Swift, so requested and got it free for the new Kelisa. Reception is good. Should be relatively cheap since they can throw it in for me. If you are interested, I can ask my SE.

What HU are you using? If you are using Sony, dont waste anymore time on the antenna!!!

The jeep model is Kembara which has been in S'pore for more than 5 yrs, I think. It's quite common on the road.

I guess people are more aware of the Kancil, which is 80cc. Kelisa is 1000cc, and Kembara is 1300cc, 4WD.

Kelisa is the newest member of the family, which looks like Nissan March.

I got lobang for the antenna, but need to install outside. Very short and got booster inside-very clear, so no problem even inside the MSCP.

The one same as Opel Astra's antenna.
