Actually, my bum starting to itch also and thinking of changing since my car 4 this year. However, like viper, can't find anything that will make me happy. My 1.8 tody is still relatively trouble free. Even the silly battery lasted for 3 years without my doing anything. It came down to the question of whether my guts could outlast my battery. It didn't and I had it changed at CAS just because I was afraid it would die during CNY or one of my trips to JB!

 

Now, just waiting for the new Passat to be out or for Seat to make a comeback .

V, wanna check to see if there is a PI out there who is prepared to bring in Tody 1.8T, if MK2 mod. is still around before they're history? Mk1, don't wait long long lah, y don't u jump on?

Wow... Hope I'm not too late. Still stuck on my tody too. Esp since the car mkt is so soft now. Anyway nothing really comes close to a tody in terms of the overall package. If you ask me I'll probably be swayed by the Mk5 GTI 2.0T DSG. Heard it should be around the range of 120+k cos VGS is bringing in the cars themselves now so OMV should go down, just like Ford. Or maybe a new Octavia might be good. Saw on the UK website the 1.6 8v will be mated to a 6sp tip box. Whatcar was raving abt the quality too. Would u prefer a Mk5 Golf from SAfrica or Octy from CZ?

I know a PI who is willing to do so. But ideally we should do a bulk order so that we can share the LTA homologation cost which could be about $5000 - $8000. So if there is about 4 orders, then $2000 per car is very reasonable. Anyone interested?

The mk2 toledo no more in production I believe. Only can buy the mk3 toledo now. I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong......

Hiya Mel... just waiting for them to grow up, get married and shift out!! My younger son thinks the girl next door is cute. She's 2 1/2 (he's 5 now) so I guess I just have another 14 years to wait before they're old enough!

Although gold Tody's a bit more common than Antrachite Blue Tody's but they're still rarer than Lambo's...

There's actually 3-4 Tody's permanently on display in my office carpark - perhaps I should ressurect an old hobby and tag them to join the, er, club ?
