Trex101 3rd Gear July 8, 2010 Share July 8, 2010 If E9 spec then IIRC schaeffer 9k 5w40 also meet leh. Yes you are right, seem like both are ACEA E9 spec.

Trex101 3rd Gear July 8, 2010 Share July 8, 2010 Hi brudder Trex101, What would you recommend for my 3 years old Sunny? Thanks! Depends on what you after? If want best FC, you can choose Redline 0w30, Mobil 0w30 or Amsoil SSO 0w30. If heavy footer who sometimes goes track then 10w30, 5w30 would be a balance of both. Octopus 3rd Gear July 9, 2010 Share July 9, 2010 can i check if Schaeffer 9k 5w40 meets/exceeds ACEA-C3 requirements? i cant find this info in their website Based on info provided by Trex101, ACEA C3 are engine oil which has low SAPS. SAPS refer to Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulphur. Requirement for ACEA C3 specified engine oil to contain a maximium Sulphated Ash of 0.8%, Phosphorus 900ppm and Sulphur 0.3%, among other requirement such as HTHS, NOACK & TBN. The data sheet for Schaeffer 9000 5w40 did indicate it contain Sulphate Ash of 1%, hence failed ACEA C3 requirement. A check of VOA and UOA in BITOG show that Schaeffer 9000 5w40 the phosphorus typically exceeded 1000ppm. which also failed ACEA C3 requirement. Therefore, I doubt it qualify for ACEA C3. Mini-itx Clutched September 18, 2010 Share September 18, 2010 Btw, I just drained my Motul 300V oil and put in Amsoil ARO 20W50. Engine is smooth man! I don't care what others said about Motul oil but I don't like it and it doesn't like my engine as well. Its not as smooth as Amsoil and it doesn't last. I will never buy Motul oil every again....
