Chisiang 2nd Gear August 11, 2006 Share August 11, 2006 The R-Vit i-color takes readings directly from your ECU via the on board diagnositic port. IN ADDITION, it can take 2 aux sensor input (1x temp, 1x press OR A/F sold seperately) So besides the usual readings, you can also have your oil temp and oil press The unit can function without the add-on sensor. The first generation R-Vit and the Infometer do not have this ability to accept additional sensors. Further more, the R-Vit i-color will work on the newer Toyotas which runs on CAN bus. With the newer CAN bus, you can have the ability to control fan speed, injector duty etc on certain toyotas and lexus model. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Chisiang 2nd Gear August 24, 2006 Share August 24, 2006 The back light is always on. Sort of like a bluish green back-lit LCD. Think if I'm not wrong can adjust contrast. But Jap kit very strong, the front lip still in 1 piece then another day, there was a BIG brick on the road but my car was quite low the last time and cannot clear the brick. So wham! hit the bumper! Then my car colour paint left a bit which I lend it to a customer to get it match for his wrx with the same colour but he never return me the remaining until now...
