Engine oil ratings

Hi all, make a check on previous thread but dun find any rating of good engine,( mayb stupid lah) anyway hope all old bird can help as i juz brought my ride (Optra) hope to know more abt which brand are good to be use in my baby as my baby seem to be slowwwww in moving off, i tink its partly bcos of the mineral oil which SA is using nw, therefore hope to find one good full syn oil to use next time. i'm oso a newbie when comes to engine oils.

but i find 20w50 too thick.

so i always go for in-betweens. 5w40 or 10w40 fully Synthetic.

currently on Shell Fully-Syn 5W40.

protects the engine well...& oso not too stress on the FC.

preferably go for 'SL' rated/ACEA A3/B3 (if i remember correctly from our oil guru, Genie47)

broz, your 5000K servcing dun use full syn lahz... so costly, use mineral or semi lorz... wait till 10K then do a full syn

tio,tio,tio....maybe can try Mobil Semi-Syn 10W40 first...then 10k service switch to Fully Syn.
