hmm....so is it for the better/worse for your car after the installation?

How's your mileage too? Mine's a manual car, and being a very fuel conscious driver, roughly my car can reach 650 + - at full tank. I usually pump BP RON95. If in msia, I'll pump RON97. At most I go to msia once a week.....so maybe RON97 only makes up....say 15% of my petrol consumption?

Wah!! how many litres yields 650km?? can u let us know... it's looks really really fantastic..... btw.. your car is a 1.6 right??

Good idea. I've thought of that as well.....but I felt it may be expensive too. Nonetheless I'll give it a try.

My overseas sources just replied to me. Damm.....seems like they have got a different part number for it....coz the part number I gave them....they can't find in their database. [shakehead]

Wah!! i really wonder how did u do that??? that u are able to find somebody in Aus to be able to get their hands on a database to find for you!! [thumbsup]

Can i look u up to look for things in Australia in future?? [thumbsup] ... just kidding...... [laugh][laugh]

hmm.......me still keeping my options open. In the meantime, I'll be scouting for some scrapped 323.....to buy a 2nd hand fuel line.

So far, the cheapest option is to buy from regent motors.

ya... I've just checked with the service side for mazda. The tank is 55Litres. But if the tank is very empty, you could even top it up to ......say 57L? Coz there is usually some allowance....ie the volume of the pipe for refuel.

ya, 1.6. Manual. Another thing is that, I do not carry heavy stuff. I would say.... maybe around

60% of the time is single driver.

30% is 1 driver, 1 passenger.

10% is with 3 passengers, 1 driver.

So.....usually I drive the car alone....and my body weight is 55kg +-. Heehee. Boot is empty also. (of course got spare tyre!)

it's not difficult to ask for availability of parts. email can already. In australia, many car owners buy parts themselves. But it's more expensive. For aussies, their profit margin is also higher than singaporean's.

It depends on what you want. If it's Mazda or ford, it's easy. If it's a common part and if manufactured in australia, then it's very super cheap. If you are looking for big cars, it's even easier. Coz most of them drives Toyota camrys. Another brand is holden apollo which shares almost 98% of parts as toyota camry. However, for corolla, it's not so popular.

Ford Falcon, fairlady....quite cheap.

Basically, my friends are still studying there. That's why...once I found it, I can get them to bring back for me.

Unfortunately, I also just found out that this Mazda 323 and Ford Laser is 100% manufactured in Japan. So australia also have to import from Japan. So it's quite ex for any new 323 parts there. If it's the 80s' 323, then Australia would have manufactured them.

hi,

i just bought a 2nd hand broquet, do you happen to know is there a 'in' or 'out' for the broquet b30?

my 'in' means from fuel tank to b30

'out' means from b30 to engine.

or is it universal, both end can be 'in' and 'out'? [sweatdrop]

Thanks. hopee you can help me [thumbsup]

From what I see from my mechanics installing the Broquet in-line units...seems like there is a "in" and a "out". Coz I see them blowing into the ends to see the direction of air flow b4 installation.

Cheers [:p]

I'm not sure about the new units. But for the older versions of BM30 (black coloured one), there is no "in" or "out".

Since it's sold by Universal Consultants, the usage will be "universal". [laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh]

hmm....honda and toyota already started with their City and Soluna respectively. It's really 1 cent money buy us 1 cent product.

Ford Laser and Mazda 323 are the same same product. But I think Ford Mondeo or higher end products are probably....may not be from japan. Maybe....from germany? [thumbsup] heehee....

Btw... so u said u can clock about 650km is based on top up of about 55litres of petrol?? or what??

Regent motors have the stock for my mazda's fuel hose. And it's cheaper than buying from Mazda itself. Actually, it's a good thing that mazda and ford are the same at times. [;)]

650km is based on...full tank. Which according to the service ppl, they said full tank is 55Litres of petrol.

Don't think that the direction is important.... since what they want is that the fuel pass thru it.... but just to warn u... they'll be cutting your fuel line ... which is a high pressure pipe.... and should u want to replace the fuel line..... [shakehead] ... u can check with Kianbeng.... for his experience.

thanks. [thumbsup]

was thinking of geting a new hose to connect it up.

old hose will go to one end of broquet, and new hose will be from broquet to engine, think this way dont have to cut fuel hose. [:)]

Just adding on to this post.... think the reason why my mechanics were blowing into the in-line units to check for direction could be because of how the pellets are arranged in the units. Coz if you look at the in-tank units....the pellets [flat on one side and rounded on the other side] are arranged slanted and stacked against each other. So assuming this is the same arrangement as in the in-line units....fuel flowing in the direction over the curved surfaces should be "easier" rather than going over the "stacks" of flat surfaces at an angle.

Or.......you could buy 1 new hose......and cut that to fit the broquet. This way, you won't have so long a hose. (after combination of new and old hose). [thumbsup]
