pardon the newbie, what does clay bar do ah?

it picks up all the dirt and dust tt are stuck on ur car surface tt normal washing n waxing can't get rid of... leaving a super smooth, new car like surface.

was wondering if we just use the 3m swirl remover once awhile as substitute for claybar be suffice? used it once and its give the dark smooth glow on my car paint too...after that of coz add sealant follow by wax....

i stupidly bought the claybar for white cars when i need it for dark colors, sigh.

anyway, is it possible for me to still use it?

 

whats so special about white cars that require a special claybar for it?

No worries! In fact we have checked and verified that the white clay

bar can be use for all colour cars. In fact our hands on experience

show that the white one is more aggressive on tougher contaminants if

used with force otherwise if behaves much like the green one.

Soft99 100gm Claybars may be cheap but has a few types for different types/colors of paint work. You can check it out at Autobacs or Stanford Tyres. Try the 200gm Dirtrap Claybar which is applicable to all types/colors of paint work and its also applicable to windscreen, plastic and rubber surfaces. I bought it for $23.50.

i understand that there are many types of claybars. some claim that it is non abrasive while some are. so is soft 99 abrasive ? can any one shed some light on this abrasive issue ?
