Accident!

Got myself into a major car accident yesterday. Just outside IMM. Travelling towards Toh guan rd... Another car coming out from IMM building ( Guard House ) side. Went straight into 2nd lane! i was travelling on 2nd lane. Couldn't stop in time. WHAMP*! Fender to fender collision. Collision was so hard that the other car's suspension and wheel got ripped off. For my case.. airbag went off. checked my damaged... Front left fender dent in. front left headlamps gone. Left mirror gone. Front left rims gone. Windscreen cracked.. thats about it.. but overall.. Solid car.. i myself sustained bruised arm and abrasion.

Feel sorry for you dude , but glad that you have not sustained any serious injury. As for the car, should be able to get it repaired to "as new" condition.

Sorry to hear about the accident. At least you are okay, slight bruises. How about the other driver, is he also okay.

 

Skoda is solid and safe, that is one good point about the car. But perfect it's not. Just came back fom KL and u know what my fuel pump failed. No spares parts in Sin and Skoda agent in KL. Finally managed to get one workshop to source whole of KL for the spares and found it. whew. And also asked czech to source regional warehouse for the parts as back up, but unfortunately they are very slow. But the guy John in czech is helpful and patient.

Sorry to hear about that, dude. Thank God no serious injury to both parties. Imagine if the other driver had come out just half a second faster, you would have hit him at the driver's door. Whew!

 

Remember to send your car to IDAC first. Are you gonna send the car to CA?

yes.. done all the accessing and stuff. Sent to servo to repair.. will be done by 1 wk. But spares for my interior, i.e airbags and seatbelt stuff.. will have to wait for 1.5 mths. Just hope everything will be back in shape after that.

Thankfully no-one is hurt seriously.

Take heart that the car is now tried and tested on hardiness and sturdiness!

 

Do take care while driving too. There are a lot of crazy drivers and sunday drivers in Singapore who 'luen lai'! People tend to assume too much that others will give way to them.....and they think they always have right of way! . This is the ingredient for disaster....
