Osiris 1st Gear February 15, 2005 Share February 15, 2005 It is always good to have a protective layer. But some don't bother some do. e.g. I applied Glare. My friend couldn't be bothered with any wax or layer - just wash. If you like to have a good shine, then do it. if not, don't bother.

Osiris 1st Gear February 16, 2005 Share February 16, 2005 ah, u belong to the care-4-car group. haha. I got my Glare done at $338. that's the promo price during the motorshow. Normal price for 1.6L is about $488 the price you paid include them washing, claybar and polishing your car, leather and interior cleaning and applying care products, 18 months guarantee (for the shine) and 3 free additional sessions to reapply. Shine wise, The darker coloured cars would be really great (measured by reflection %). My silver coloured ride only has a slight increase in shine (probably a new car as well). Seen those black cars with Glare, can use them as mirror. I think if you search, you can find a Glare thread in the resource folder. Protection wise, After Glare, it is slightly easier to clean tree sap, droppings etc. You still have to clean them immediately and not let them bake for days in the sun. Very light scratches can be polished away. (I guess this is true for any car with sealant) There's also a poll to see which polish pple use here. Glare is most popular. The biggest pain after spending $$ would be idiots in carpark scratching your car when they open their doors wide. Happened to me every month. Vin79 Neutral Newbie February 19, 2005 Share February 19, 2005 I am getting my ride soon... Bought this 'Mothers' California Gold Pure Carnauba Wax under the recommendation of the shop owner...Wonder if there is any feedback abt this product. Also will this really help in making my black car shine and protecting it??. ...read about the Glare review and I am deciding if I want to do it on my car after collection or shall I wait for a month or 2. Leonknapp Clutched February 19, 2005 Share February 19, 2005 Is urs the Original Carnueba Cleaner Wax or the Pure Wax? If its the cleaner wax u have got probably one of the best one step waxes available. Use this once a month and ur black car will be very well maintained. If its the Pure wax u will need a polish to clean and nurish the paint before applying the wax. For this try the Mothers Reflection Polish, another great product. anyway where did u get the wax from? Vin79 Neutral Newbie February 19, 2005 Share February 19, 2005 I think I gotten the pure wax. Gotten this from the shop 'Well Run' in Parkway. This is the supposed 'Phase 3' of th process. Just that it is a new car, skipped the pre-wax cleaner and sealer and glaze step...
Xavier Neutral Newbie February 19, 2005 Share February 19, 2005 Is it a uncle who recommend it to you? He claims that new car just use the phase 3 Pure Carnauba Wax. Selling for $28.90 for the liquid type and $19.90 for the wax paste type?

Xavier Neutral Newbie February 19, 2005 Share February 19, 2005 Not to worry abt the product. Just that I went there few days back and looking at the Autoglym product. He just keep pushing Mothers product to me. He keep saying its better than Autoglym..I was like half believe then his other product seems expensive compare to other places so I did not buy. Thinking of getting it other places...
