Fortress Clutched August 25, 2005 Share August 25, 2005 It could be the tyres that helps the better mileage. Old tyres are little teenagers firing blanks. Certaintly, the car feels better whenever the aircon load is off, I do that to save fuel whenever I have hard accelerations. ↡ Advertisement
Secondhand Neutral Newbie August 25, 2005 Share August 25, 2005 Hi, does Octavia has a 5th gear? I usually keep my speed at about 90-100km/h. On the trip meter, it typical display 6l/100km. Is this a good FC usage? Octy does have 5th gear... I'm at 5th gear all the time... When road condition allows me too...

Koolaba 1st Gear August 26, 2005 Share August 26, 2005 Hello, Yup, the Superb has 5 forward gears. The 5th will be engaged when the car hits 75km/h and above. The 4th will be engaged once the speed is above 60km/h. I have achieved 7.8l/100km before, driving from Upper Thomson to Clementi, with strict adherence to the recommended speed limits. It really depends on your right foot
Koolaba 1st Gear August 26, 2005 Share August 26, 2005 Hi Khalid, Is your Octavia a manual or auto? I believe the 6l/100km is instantaneous FC. There is no meter 1 or 2 for this reading. If your average FC is 6l/100km, it is indeed a very good FC figure. The average FC meter is marked with a
