My brother-in-law owns a Wish. Beautiful MPV to drive alone to office. But he noted engine rev already at 80-90 whenever his family and maid on-board and no chance of Lane 1. You think it's good?

Thanks for the feedback.....another concern is tat due to it big size...not sure if it it difficult to park and handle....never drive a MPV before. Do u face any problem with this car ? BTW, did u ever consider TOYOTA WISH before ?

No. It's the engine noise. Perhaps, one secret of Toyota is getting people attracted to quiet idling, hoping few will border by its engine noise at the mid to high range.

Looks like yours is with variable valve and not the basic Sirius II. How izit at 110, the TP threshold?

I also heard from another owner who noted the noice when he compared his current Wish with his previous Cefiro. That is not a fair comparison as Cefiro had a V6 while the Wish is only having 4 cylinders! Difinitely more audible!

Not that bad lah. Driving a Wish is relatively quiet if I keep below 100 or not more than 3 passengers. Suspect Camry is not too different.

 

Perhaps, real refinement of VVTi might be only be in the Lexus.

Ya, agree....Jap strategy...everything best quality type will leave to the higher end models or brand like Lexus so those lower end models will get the minimum of what the higher models get.

Mod your right foot. If you want good FC, change the way you drive. When moving off, go slow and steady. That's the best thing you can do...

i am changing to the big bore throttle body next week. Then will adivse you if there's any diff in power and fC...

Changing to a bigger throttle body without changing the intake manifold will not yield much effect. Might even experience alot of flat spot. Maybe I'm wrong...

GD FC= Let car slowly stop at Red light,

GD FC= Nvr move into rightmost lane on Expressway,

GC FC= Maintain steady RPM,
