Hi,

I'm considering the Trajet as well. Got a few questions the SE can't answer, so might aswell ask the owners. rolleyes.gif

1) How heavy are the seat if you were to take them out?

2) Is the seat removal a screwless operation?

 

Ans:

yah its a 7 seater. But the last row is really very cramp for Adults. Moreover, after putting up the seats, the luggage area is only enough for 2 prams.

 

What i need is comfort for the last row, an opening to access the last row from the second row (just like the pre-FL Trajet), and still has space to put in my prams and shopping groceries.

Wah, how come so big discrepancies, one says ard 10 kg, and the other says 30kg.

 

We have just test drive the Trajet at Komoco yesterday. The ride is not so bad, but my Spacio has a better drive. But that's maybe because I'm using a very light rim + some minor mods. So maybe that will change if I do the same thing on the Trajet.

 

Anyway, the offer is very irresistable. We book the car the car at the price of $50k, and a high trade in value for my Spacio.

There's another dealer quoting me at 49k somemore, but his quote for the trade in is very low.

 

BTW, 50k is almost half the price of my Spacio also sweatdrop.gif... At this low price, I guess that the COE/PARF will also be low as well. I think the formula buy cheap, sell cheap still applies...

Wow 50k? Is it OPC or normal plate? That is a very good price! I saw today's ad at 66k+.

 

By the way, I think I stay around your place. Always admire your Spacio whenever I walk past the car park :) Used to see another Mobilio around also, but it has gone now.

OPC lar. Normal should be 67k like that. After next year, Spacio is getting extinct liao. Will miss it though, i have done so many mods and SP on the car.

 

I wonder which is larger, the Estima or the Trajet?

 

btw, u live in yishun st. 81?

Ya, I stay at Yishun St 81.

 

I just seen both Trajet and Previa (same as Estima?) last week at show room. Spec wise from their brochures, quite simila in size. But Previa's price tag is way out of my budget :)

 

I am seaching for an affordable MPV also, since my second child has born. Still looking around, have seen the following models:

 

1. Wish

2. Stream

3. Sienta

4. Trajet

5. Carnival

6. Edix

 

Wish & Stream are out for me now. The third row is cramp. When I need to use the third row, there is almost no more luggage space!

 

The same for Sienta, but the third row is much better for adult. It is also cheaper & more fuel efficient, lower road tax, so still thinking.

 

Trajet is good for me so far, and the price is good also. Lack safety feature like air-bag.

 

Carnival is so huge, I wonder if my wife can drive it comfortably or not.

 

Just saw Edix last week and found it actually quite good. Can sit 6 persons (4 adults + 2 kids) with luggage space!

Owned a 2.7 Trajet before.

 

No regrets other than the fact that it used to cost $105k.

 

Yes, also higher road tax but come to think of it, its well worth the $$$. (only 1.5k more and you don't need to mod anymore.)

 

1. No underpower issue whatsoever. I can swear by that.(King of the road when you go up north or climb the slope of Genting fully loaded)

 

2. V6 is very responsive.

 

3. Unichip/Piggyback the ECU and you can easily bring up the FC to be comparable to that of a 2L CVVT plus increasing the horses to +/- 190.

 

4. It is being sold with more premium items than the 2L. (Full airbags and stuff....)

 

I have no choice but to scarped mine becos it make more economic sense. Prices of cars nose dive like nobody business since the last 2 years or so...Still kind of miss the old boy...

 

An MPV is meant to move full load with power, comfort and grace...and this old horse can really get the job done beautifully.

 

I am driving a Tucson now BUT if given a choice to decide on the 2 vehicles again, my choice is pretty clear. [bigcry]

I just got me a Trajet... collecting on Friday 30th dec... will need your tips and advice pretty soon...

 

btw.. how much is a pair of side steps? Is it useful? i understand u removed it for side skirts...
