Ravinged 5th Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 And what's the model in Singapore? All 3 or only one of them? Ed ↡ Advertisement
Genie47 1st Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 Dunno. I don't think it is the F***ing Quick 400 bhp.

Ghostrider 3rd Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 SG ones are Japan JDM models...which is 280bhp only. Those are the ones for export. Anyway...the FQ400 is not a Mitu product...its a by product of Ralliart UK. Its not fair to compare the FQ400 vs the Fiat. Any turbo cars in their wrong gears will have lack. But they fit a hugh turbo to a small cap engine...what do they expect ? Off course got turbo lag lah... Clutch...you want a easy to drive clutch...can...but with that kinda power generated...expect lots of slipping from the clutch lor....hard ride...please lah..this is a fast car....want a comfy ride...get the GLXi version. But Jermey Clarkson....is
Ravinged 5th Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 Did they mention at the end of the show the 400bhp is merely 1.3 sec faster than the 320bhp model? For the sake of 80bhp extra? They actually talked about it's turbo lag ... out of curiousity, how do we reduce turbo lag? Or is there nothing we can do at all? The turning radius ... I can imagine the frustrations if I have to park in narrow car parks in Singapore. And that "stupid headunit" comment from him really make me ROFL! Ravinged 5th Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 I see I see ... the 280 afterall. But the clutch really cannot make it ... it's either you start flying off or you don't move at all. Imagine you have a TP behind or beside your EVO ... forget about moving off slowly. The moment you move I bet the TP will be hot on your tail. But then again, if it can perform up to Lambo ststs, no prob shaking off TP's Volvo ... anyone tried? Ed
Maded Neutral Newbie March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 Jeremy Clarkson is hilarious!!
Genie47 1st Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 I quote Lordalfa: Don't mess with the TP Volvos, they are faster than the BMWs and upchipped with a 850R TD04-16T turbo. The normal road T4s are TD04-14T. The TP Volvos are upped in boost too. They pickup very fast.
Ghostrider 3rd Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 Want to shake off those TP Volvo no issue with some of the Evo and Rexes here.... After you tried a Group N clutch...you will love it. It takes a little bit of getting use to....once you master it....the way it transmit power is just lovely. But if you need to drive thru heavy jams everyday...your calf muscle will be damn strong after a while. These clutch are basically have no springs...its like a ON/OFF switch. Ghostrider 3rd Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 To reduce turbo lag....simple lah...run a TD04 turbo lor....ha ha ha ha. Bigger turbo needs more pressure...more rpm to sprool...more power but more lag....its comes hand in hand. One other way to reduce the lag is to us a anti lag kit...but cannot use for daily use. Ravinged 5th Gear March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 Clutch with no spring ... I would rather go without the clutch altogether. Ed

Slayer Clutched March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 right foot can already. just make the rpm in the power band , no lag! :) big turbos and yet want no lag.. :) anti-lag kit is a bit xiong on the turbines lar.
