why brought tears into your eyes?

did u see the turning radius of the FQ400, u need 5-point-turn to u-turn.

the setup is like that.

altho the EVO is quite crap in some aspects, seeing it successfully tail the lambo made me feel proud for the poor EVO...

But honestly, in all aspects, as a road car, the EVO doesnt seem that great, and for SG road conditions, would not be that great a buy.

yup, the first part of the show showed how great the EVO was but the second part really showed the frustration of the driver, especially when he lost to the fiat.

FQ400 is meant to be driven hard. the setup have to be like that one lor. for track mah..

the turbo lag is really not a problem on the move. Just make sure u get to the sweet spot when driving lor.

The 'dragging' with a Fiat is just a joke. :)

5000 miles is 8k km. So this car's service intervals can be stretched a bit to 10k in line with most service intervals common here.

The price of power. But what he said is true, the worst thing about it is the almost "unstreetability" of the car thanks to the clutch.

Neutral Newbie

That's true. I have a friend who dropped a B20 (i hope that's correct) engine into his civic SIR, and combined that with a clutch so hard i couldn't control it. only clutch or de-clutch... no half-clutch [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

I never drove it of course... but it sure was fast. After an ECU upgrade, he managed wheel-spin up to 4th gear and 140kph in 2nd... [sweatdrop]

The performance on the corners are indeed breath taking ... simply enjoyable to watch. I was grinning from ear to ear ... watch how the EVO narrows the gap on the corners instead of on the straight.

BUT I guess it takes a really good driver to handle this machine. Put it in the wrong hands ... like young punks on our street here ... this will become the ultimate killer machine.

BTW, is this the same exact EVO 8 we get here in Sg?

He did say there are "lower end" ones like FQ250 and FQ320.

The Evo was launched in USA in 2003. Because they have never got the previous version of the Evo. The Evo 8 in the US is simply called Lancer Evolution. No number behind. It is the same as the Evo 8. Reviewers did comment that only PS2 savvy drivers who own Gran Tourismo will know the name Evo. The rest of America is in darkness. shakehead.gif
