Wolverine Neutral Newbie March 7, 2005 Share March 7, 2005 Query on behalf of a fren (AH TAT) He is driving a VW Golf....has a Huge Capacitor poped in the trunk with a 4CH Velocity AMP and a tok gong woofer ...recently he finds the car starting a little delayed ...during ignition...Batt is still rather new ....so AH TAT disconnected the capacitor and things went back to normal - so he said.....what are the possibilities that his cap is retarding his ignition? Any Elec Enggrs around here? ↡ Advertisement
Ghostrider 3rd Gear March 7, 2005 Share March 7, 2005 (edited) Cannot be the cap. Once the cap charges up, it stores the energy and does not tap from the alternator anymore. How old is the ride ? Could it be the alternator or starter worn out already ? Check the voltage of the battery as well and if the batt is begin charged or not.
