Neutral Newbie

Hi to all,

After years of coveting a Saab I finally got one, a 2003-registered Aero 2.3TS. The previous owner was a certain well-known monk (yes I read the thread). My previous car was a Skoda Octavia Elegance with the VW 1.8T engine.

Cheers,

P.S. Hi Turbobrick! Back in SG already?

Sensational drive! But made the slight mistake of putting Pirello PZero Rosso's on it. However, the Rosso's were going for a good price, well below that of my preferred Michelin Pilot PS2.

Slight mistake? Why? The rossos are not good? How much are the Rossos? Now? Need to replace my tyres soon [sweatdrop]

So your ride's a 95 Aero? [cool]

No it isn't. My Octy hasn't been put on the market yet. It's still with the used-car dealer with whom I traded the Octy in for the Aero. It may be exported if it proves too hard to sell locally.

Putting on the Rosso is never a mistake. Its one of the best money can buy.

BTW, your rims is 17 inch?

High wear rate. Which is to be expected given the soft-ish compounds used in max performance tires. But too high. See user reviews of the Rosso and PS2 on tirerack.com.

I paid $280 each at Chin Wah. They had brought in a lot at volume discounts. Don't know if they will still sell at that price. Otherwise would have been in excess of $300. The PS2's cost about $350 each. OUCH!

Edit: I forgot to mention that my tires are 225/45-17.

I assume you're running on 17"?

I'm currently running on 18" Rossos as well, but they need to be replaced soon...

Quite worried about the costs now [sweatdrop][:p]

Where's this chin wah place btw? [;)]
