Just a question.

Does all component speaker have a crossover?

I cant seems to locate mine crossover for mine front component speaker in my AVEO.

 

Is it better to power a set of component speaker (2 6 inch woofer + 2 tweeter) using 2 channel amp or 4 channel amp.

 

I heard that some people is using 4 channel amp for component speaker. But mine ausio shop man duno how to connec t and say its not possible to power a set of component speaker using 4 channel amp meaning 1 channel for each tweeter and 1 channel for each woofer. The reason given by the audio shop man is becos each crossover accepts only one channel input and will give 2 channel output. So die die must use 2 channel amp for a set of component speaker and not 4 channel amp.

 

Is it possible to use the connect in this way. HU RCA->preamp RCA input->crossover->4 channel amp with each tweeter 1 channel and each woofer 1 channel.

 

This way I will be splitting the frequency using crossover then amplify the siganals individually right? Will it be better?

Can be done...need 2 Y RCA plugs(1 in, 2 out type) to divert ur pair of RCA input to the 3rd & 4th channel, need another pair of 'short' cable wif RCA inputs. best ur 3rd & 4th channel ve high-filter cross-ovr...if dun ve both of ur tweeter must hook-up wif filting capacitor to 'cut' out the lower db...

Some 4 channels amp they ve 2 additional RCA output whereby u just need an extra pair of 'short' cable to connect the 3rd & 4th channels...
