Btw do you all spray the liquid onto a white cloth and wipe onto the tyre or spray on the tyre and wipe? ↡ Advertisement
Octopus 3rd Gear March 17, 2005 Share March 17, 2005 Me using Meguiars Endurance Tyre Gel, and its quite lasting. There're 2 types.... one comes in a black bottle, and its more for the blackness than the shine - I'm using this type. The other type comes in a clear bottle and the purple colour fluid can be seen through the bottle, and its more for the shine.....maybe you can consider this type if you want the shiny looks. Just put a little on a sponge and apply.

The_young_once Neutral Newbie March 17, 2005 Share March 17, 2005 any of you guys got this problem when it comes to tire shine products? recently i bought a can of those tire foam shine, just spray on and let it dry by itself. very effective but when the rain comes, the brake dust and water drains out from my hub caps onto the tires, leaving horrible brown/grey "tear marks" like crying like that, damn ugly, i have since stopped using tire shine, anyway just changed a new set of rubbers, G3, dont intend to put crying marks on it

Precurser Neutral Newbie March 18, 2005 Author Share March 18, 2005 What are the best methods of applying to achieve a well spreaded result?
Steelblue Neutral Newbie March 18, 2005 Share March 18, 2005 I use a tire applicator to dress the tyre and if you use Meg High Endurance gel, You must buff the tyre with a rag/towel..if not some will sling onto the paint
Octopus 3rd Gear March 18, 2005 Share March 18, 2005 Well, as per Steelblue said, a tyre applicator is good. But for me, I use those sponge meant for polishing shoes. Just apply a little bit at a time, so no need to buff off with cloth later. I've discovered that washing the tyre clean before applying would allows the blackness to stay on for a much longer time.......previously I just apply on the tyres without proper cleaning. Gary84 1st Gear March 21, 2005 Share March 21, 2005 i personally recommend Ammorall Protectant. It comes in a white bottle spray type. Usually uses for dashboard but tyre shop dealers recommend me this and i find it quite reliable...Spray on a sponge and apply on ur tyre. It shines even when contacted wif water....Try it.! ↡ Advertisement
