Errr...paisay...wat is IMO ah?? Pardon my 'swaku-ism' [confused]

Bodykit & spoiler got already...bigger rims will come later...front grille will have to depend on cost....hmm...that's for the exterior...also intend to get some Ralliart mud flaps too...dunno how much they'll cost but i heard it's abt $15 a pair?

Any suggestions for the interior? Climate Tech is doing the EL dials for $180...wondering if there're any similar alternatives. Some shops are doing it for $150 but i dunno abt the quality though.. [:/]

Ok..i've covered exterior & interior. Performance wise...cool juz installed Apollos & did grounding for me on Sat. The next thing i wanna do is to get a K&N filter. But clueless on wat type & how much it'll cost me... [confused]

you can get MOMO gear knob and hand brake for your ride. [inlove]

and maybe also a MOMO steering wheel if you dun mind not having the air bag. [;)]

you have to be careful when you get your EL dials, make sure the set you are getting has the same speed delimitation as your current ones. e.g. i couldn't find a set of EL dials for my ride cos my stock speedos end at 230 whereas the aftermarket ones go up to 240, so each marking will be slightly different. and therefore it might not reflect an accurate speed reading. [:(]

for the K&N filter, i guess you shld be getting the drop-in filter element type. I currently using that, it sure increases the air flow. And the best part is that its washable and reuseable. You can try SpeedWorks, Cartronics, McWell, Autowerke for the K&N filter. [:)]

fyi my filter set me back by $120. Got it from SpeedWorks many moons ago. dunno if the price has dropped... [:p]

Wow...thanks for the tips! Any idea how much the MOMO auto gear knob and hand brake costs? [nod]

I intend to get the EL dials from Climate Tech. They do custom dials & told me that it's only an insert on top of the existing dials. It'll cost me $180 including installation...quite steep if u ask me. [:/]

Hmm..my next purchase would definitely be the K&N filter! Heard loads abt it...already did grounding & installed Cool's Apollos. Wonder how it'll be like with the filter... [bounce1][bounce1][bounce1]

If i have spare $$ to burn...i'd get a strut bar as well....so many things yet so little $$!!

take it a step at a time pal, and yes, keep a note on all the things you have spent on the car and you'll be surprised, really surprised. [:p]

I reckon yours would be AT, meaning there are only a few MOMO gear knobs you can choose from. I got a quote for one of them, its $150+. Haven't really asked abt the hand brake yet as it involves cutting my stock hand brake before you can install the MOMO one. [:(] you can check out MOMOs here:

http://www.momo.it/momoeng/set1.html

that's pretty steep for the dials. actually its the installation that's expensive. I remember seeing the dials on sale for slightly above a hundred only. [:|]

the price to pay for motoring....and all these are just the cosmetic mods... [:)]

Yeah...will be doing that bro! Already spent abt $200...the things ppl do to beautify their cars! [dizzy]

I've checked out the Momo website...WOW! They have really nice knobs...esp the manual ones. Too bad the AT knobs r kindda limited. Any where to recommend to check out the Momo knobs? Autoworks?

Yeah...tink the dials r pricey. Wat kindda dials did u see? The 'normal' ones which most auto shops sell? I asked one shop & the person quoted me $150!! [dead] The dials looked pretty crappy...at least the pic on the box did..

you can check out Momo knobs at Yap Bros at Paya Ubi, Kam Auto Mart at 65, Syed Alwi Road, or Lian Siong at Horne Road. The first 2 has more knobs and hand brake stuff and steering wheels compared to the 3rd shop. [laugh]

they do have nice gear knobs eh? wait till you see their rims... [inlove]

actually you can feel free to open up the box and check the EL dials at most shops. but like you said, they really look crappy. [thumbsdown]

for me, i just changed the bulbs in my dials to red, so everything is in red now, with the stock black face. [sly] a pretty easy mod, just need to find out how many bulbs are required and buy the color you desire. The last time i bought the bulbs, they were available in red, blue, green, and orange. [cool]

Thanks Bro!! [laugh]

Hmm..maybe it'll be a better idea to juz change the bulbs in the dials huh? Definitely much cheaper. Do u have a pic of yours? May need your guidance in doing it if i intend to do it also...hehe... [thumbsup]

Sidetrack a little...u heard of a 'eRam Supercharger' before? [dizzy]

since you're driving a GDI, i'd suggest you register yourself with SLCC (Singapore Lancer Cedia Club). they have an article there on how to DIY your dials. It gives a step by step guide with pictures, so it shld be quite easy to follow. [thumbsup]

check it out:

http://www.maxdax.com/slcc/

think i've heard it over at the delphi forums, most reviews were not that fantastic. probably you can save your money for other better things. [:/]

btw, this is my own DIY using red bulbs and a layer of red cellophane.

Hi Esquire ,

Nice dials you have! May I know where did you get the bulbs & how did you fix it? Can it be done for civic too? [bounce2]

hi pal,

i'm not too sure if it can be done as easily for the civic as my lancer, maybe you can ask some of the honda drivers here or pop by SHC forum and ask the experts. [scholar] But it can be done definitely. [;)]

nevertheless, i bought my bulbs at this shop along jalan besar, opposite the open air public car park beside Sim Lim Tower. Its the only car accessories shop around along that stretch, you can't miss it. [;)] Each bulb costs $2.50.

IMO, bodykits, spoiler, bigger rims, front grille will be enuff. Too much of those unneccesary stuff will make yr car very complicated. Dark grey car will all the above mentioned definitely will make yr car simple, nice and sporty.....

eh...basket.... say me ar? [laugh][laugh][laugh]

ah bah then [laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh][smash][smash][smash][wave]
