Hi guys, new here, currently not satisfied with my 2 subs output(specs below)... too soft, i believe the 2ch amps(JBL 90Wx2 @ 4ohms) i'm using is not enough, looking to get a mono amp, wat's the min power output i shd be getting and @ wat ohms rating(confused)? Seen amp product on U.S web, r they cheaper then local stuff? Any shops know how to custom sealed enclousure according to the subs installation manual?

Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

RF - RFP4410 x 2

Single voice coil, 10", 4 ohms - 200RMS

The product you see on US web site is not really cheap if you consider the landed cost. Air parcel is pretty expensive.

How are you going to claim warranty if the item DOA (dead on arrival)? Incur another freight cost to send it back?

Any of the ICE installer that does custom installation will be able to make one for you. I happen to have a 2 x 1 cubic ft sealed box (very simple) for 2 x 10" sub. PM me if you interested.

You should get a quality mono rated at least 500 (2 ohms) to drive your subs in parallel. Avoid cheapo China, Taiwan made stuff.

Hope it help.

Thanks for the reply guys(Slonez)... spot on there ivan0507! into hard trance stuff, really in need for some TIGHT bass attack, was browsing thru the installation guide, the recommended seal box for a 10" is 0.75 cubic feet for 1 x sub, so does it mean 1.5 cubic for 2 x subs?? if so wouldn't 1.0cu ft be insufficent?

my 1.0cu ft is only for 1 sub,not 2 subs.if 2 subs mean x 2.rockford manual only recommended volume .don't mean the volume too small no sound or not loud .i did tried some differents box that i made.ported & vented.port going different direction and length.depend what type of music u listening .if like hip hop, rap, trance go vented.if u like rock, slow music go sealed.and u can used poly fil to tune the box.

if for yr two sub ,this 3 amp power more than enough for yr 2 rockford sub(wire up to 2ohms).

those 3 amp also not cheap.if u can spend so much no those amp.why not get the rockford mono amp.prize not much different

.much better than that.i did installed for my bro,2 rockford sub &with the rockford mono amp.the system loud as hell.if u want me to chose ,i will take JBLgto 601.1 good match for yr sub.and that amp a lot of power.

The 3 amps are good choices in terms of power but they are running class D.

Class D are more power efficient but some say class AB sounds better in term of SQ. Ever wonder why most pro audio amps are class D & home/high end audio are class AB? [lipsrsealed]

Alternatively, consider running a powerful class AB 2 channel.

It will have more than enough power to keep you smiling...... [:)]

those 2 amp good choice also,

that's all depend what type of music u listening to .u want SQ OR SPL.

same like home audio.if u like SQ clear sound buy tube amp ,if u like loud bass .then u got to buy transistor amp.

i did enquire about rockford amps, someone recommended me model 501BD(older model) & another newer BD series both 1k plus, which is slighty above budget considering the unaccounted for installation charges, personally i also felt tat JBL offers quite a good amp was lucky to came across a shop today & had a peek @ the price, good value for $$$
