Mine is Blue...saw another bro driving another blue rio before SP just now when i was on my way back.....

Just some finding after driving my rio 1.6M HB for some time.....

 

- It seem that 1.4 has a better FC then my 1.6 coz got bro here driving 1.4 can hit 14KM/L. Mine i think only can hit 8 or 10KM/L

 

- It seem that my 1.6M first gear when moving off is very slow. No power at all.. i see that bus can move off faster then me when hit a traffic light.. Any bro can verify this also?

 

- Reversor gear seem to have some problem in engaging..often need to clutch in 2 time before the teeth will bite.

 

- Anyone notice their engine give off white smoke during the first 3 day and some burning smell? Heard from my SE that this is normal for new car!!

 

- Engine is quiet and handling is quite gd

 

- The sony sound system is power and with very good base (Loundness enable). Player can play DVD video and come with a sony 10 CD changer. Just need to enchance with a LCD monitor.

 

 

 

 

* Trying to find way to trade in my SONY X656X CD changer for a LCD monitor..who has lobang? Will sell the changer if got ppl willing to buy it also.

Agreed. I find it so ironical that they are giving a DVD enabled player but no LCD monitor to utilise the function!

hmm.. just wondering. is the sony sound system the same as the cerato and mit lancer's one? the sony Explode?

 

as for moving off.. i guess the new Rio and cerato could share the same "problem": sluggish pick up. could be due to the car's weight.

 

as for FC, surely a 1.6 consume more than a 1.4 right? furthermore, wait a little longer for the car to run-in, maybe after 5k, to get a more accurate picture of the FC.

 

but i must add that for 1.4 still running in with an FC of 14km/l is quite impressive

My current Lancer came with Blaupunkt as standard. Ceratos come with Kenwood.

i thought i saw the current mit lancer comes with the sony explode? Ceratos comes with sony explode also.. the kenwood is the touchscreen DVD player. Audio is sony.

The Kia Rio come with a MEX-R1 Sony Head unit. Not sure for mit and cerato. who got lobang for trade in?

Most ICE installers does accept trade in (Yes, I have checked it out myself) but I gather you would try selling it on the classifieds instead. The numerous functions appeals to the masses, especially the Sony diehards.

Got lobang must jio lei..me felt the CD changer like no point lei..

just encounter something strange with my car..

was driving back to office and was doing a left turn...suddenly my steering wheel lock.. Nearly hit the incoming car..

 

Went back to pandan garden service centre and they said no problem with the steering....

Any advice from any bro here?

never encounter that lei...when u go for servicing better inform the technician there..mine is 1.4 M HB

Now my FC is slighlty abv 12km/l. slightly better than the previous top up.
