Hi,

Just want to know who else using AVI speakers/subwoofer here.

Thought the brand is non existant here but just found out they have a dealer in Kaki Bukit.

This is a very good brand that is very underrated & low profile (no marketing).

I don't know AVI make amp.

There are actually 2 companies of the same name AVI. One is based in Canada that makes car audio speaker & subwoofer, the other is based in UK & manufacture home amplifier, speakers.

Yes the AVI are very good speakers. Even the entry level model is better than some of the other brand costing twice as much. You can listen & compare them at Autobacs.

My AVIs are old model with a different tweeters & X'over, suppose to be better than the current ones according to the factory techinician.

Still got a set of 4" component (brand new in box), ai mai? [:)][laugh]

bro, u are right [thumbsup] , ur old ones are better than the new ones. Old ones different from the current one ma. Some Old school stuffs are better [nod]

From the way i experienced, JM audio at kaki bukit is heavily promoting this brand around. So u can be assure of this good brand of speakers will never die out [sunny]

I have a fren using the AVI 3 way active.......the mid-bass very good and low.......provided u feed it with enought power.......he using VRX4300 bridged......so 350Wrms x 2 @ 4ohm........mid-bass solid........but when he swopped to 110Wrms x 2 @ 4ohm(dun bridged and use only 2 channels with the same amp)......the mid-bass gone......

Conclusion is that this a very nice pair of speakers but its power hungry.......just look at the size of their magnet......so big.......if u dun intend to feed so much power.....dun recommend to use this speaker.......the tweeters also not so good IMHO........but coupled with the mid mounted on the A-pillar.......it blends in very well

So if u running 2 way on the AVI.....I think there's better speaker using lesser power and nicer tweeters at ard that price range.......but if 3 way active wif high power......this is definetly a pair of speakers to own
