Lightspeed Clutched May 5, 2005 Share May 5, 2005 According to some of the guys in the club, lights can be changed, but will cost around $200 to have all the LEDs replaced. Check with Servo or Vassauto
Beanoyip Turbocharged May 5, 2005 Share May 5, 2005 I think its not easy changing the lights in the dash. Rather complicated stuff..
Secondhand Neutral Newbie May 5, 2005 Author Share May 5, 2005 $200++ just to make my dash board lights look like a BMW? Any cheaper alternatives or maybe DIY? By the way... Wat colour lights does BMW uses?

Guest66 Neutral Newbie May 5, 2005 Share May 5, 2005 No !! its because they all having kopi with me n we all talkin about u! n all your mods. haha seriously.changing dash lights is easy but v tedious process..they hav to take out de entire dash board..so many knobs, swithces must take out. Then hav to find ur small original bulbs, n replace with ur new BMW lights..take note that the mech , preferbly use glove or his hand is realli clean n dry..the oil from hands can actually affect the durablilty of de lights..esp if de connectors are oily..coz de oil can increase de heat temp on the glass..n burnt it. then the mech must test that all LEDS or lights are working according to ur switches before assembling everything back! Those lights may include not jus ur speedo, tacho lights but the other lights like a/c, which is green...etc..etc so u see..it's DO-ABLE but mayb 1 or 2 whole days...the green on de skoda is actualli quite soothing over long haul like if u hav to drive long stretch of hours at night... Bimmer and Audis uses orangy red becoz they believe , according to the science of haptics that that color cause drivers to be more alert. Merc are jus using clear white lights.. my 0.02cts.
