Sorry Bro, i was overseas for biz, so no time to really take a look at what was loaded in my ar, but here is the list....

1)Sony 2 channel 180W amp - $80

2)Viberant model 415 600W 4 Channel (this guy is cool becoz it gots lights n meter n stuff) - $300

3)Bass tube 6 inch with box n everything - $80

4)2 pieces of 6x9 inch JBL speakers with box - $130

5)2 pieces of front speakers(pardon me this im not very clear of the brand, all i know its made in the US) - $80

6)2 pieces of audio voltz cross overs (this guy got inputs,tweeter,mid-bass n woofer) - $30

7)All cables including gold plated for the amps and bass tub - $100

8)Cool sony mp3 head deck(faceless kind) n sony disc changer - $500

9) Fuses - $20

10) installation plus tuning to the way u want it - $280

Total - $1600

he even threw in a aux output cables for me, this is really cool. when i watch for my wife to knock off i can plug my laptop into my headdeck and there...i got my self a solid audio on wheels man.....

And the best is that u can get him to test out all the parts b4 u buy them..so its cool...no need to worry and he says i can go back to him if there is any problemz......

So I dunno if i can post his hp on here...so plz advise if i cant, any interested fellow chevys owners just pm me okie......

i would say it's expensive and strange setup.

aux cables r supposedly free for all HU. u can get it free fr the agent.

if u hv a pair of 6x9, that means behind the backseat, which would mean it's a sedan car. then why the basstube? i would hv thought, he fix a woofer set for u instead.

u got a pair of crossover. i supposed that 1 crossover is for the basstube, but the other? unless ur front speaker is just basic 2-way w/o filtering.

nvm, just ignore me.

ur installation a bit ex leh..

the most expensive installation i noe up to date is $300.. and this guy won the IACASCA..

no offecnce bro, but i tink ur system a bit on the high side.. for that price, tink can easialy get better stuff...

ALSO.. as for the MADE IN USA, u better check on the speaker or amp itself.. i blew almost $900 on a so called made in USA Orion amp.. turned out the dam thing made in korea.. but parts from USA. and now my sub and rear components bo power..

so better check again bro..

but have fun shakin the crap out of ur car..

maybe his bass tube is an active type ...no cross ovr req...likely his passivve cross-ovr is for the frnt spks...

If more than 200/- workmanship fees...likely come wif board mountings on the seat-rest for the amp.. [:)]

not abit expensive, very expensive.

Most ppl cannot tell the diff (assuming its a blind test) between a std system like the one mentioned here vs say.......a mcintosh or mark levinson. Usally the louder one with the booming bass wins.

With disregard to finesse and clarity (true clarity not treble turned all the way up)and paying attention only to loudness, its usually the boombox that seems the better one. Details lost in the poor reproduction becomes acceptable.

I have seen "con" jobs where the "USA" or thwe made in USA interconnects and cables go for easily $200-$300 and they are simply brands which one cannot find internationally. More like made up brands. Gold plated? So what? does not make a diff. For a quarter of the price, use QED, IXOS, Audioquest interconnects and they beat the crap out of those gold plated fancy sounding but never can find the company or website brands that so many shops tout as premium cables at only a fraction of the price.

And really cheapo copper monster car audio cables at $20-$30 per metre as good?

I would have rewired all speaker cables with QED silver anniversarry at that price!

Car audio is not much different from home audio. It would be advisable to stick with brands like infinity, jbl, rockford fosgate, sony if u like but the others? Surely nothing to do with quality or the US of A.

A high price to pay for sub quality components IMHO.

I doubt any parts are from the USA.

Its so calleddesigned in the USA but parts, labour and very other damn thing except the bolts and nuts are from korea, taiwan, china.

Nothing against these countries' products but are we paying way too much for a lesser item?
