Need help on audio system

That's a healthy budget [nod] .

There're many good speakers on the market. Depending on your listening preference & music, you can easily get front component, rear component & subwoofer.

However, running good speakers off the HU would be a waste cos the HU will not provide enough quality power to the speakers. A nice multi-channel amp will do justice to the speakers & it should not stretch your budget too much.

Start off at Autobac. Go and see see look look hear hear. Tomorrow (wednesday) got ICE meet-up, don't miss it.

I always hear rainbow is good, among the middle range components. For low budget ones, I would recommend CDT or Infinity. Lanzar's amps not bad too.

Key idea is to get 1 pair of componenets, 1 amps and 1 sub. Or 2 pair of components, 2 amps and 1 sub. Keeping about S$400 to invest on sound proofing is also advised.

I've decided not to have the Pioneer navigation headset as I found out its not that good [:(].I went sniffing around with a few I.C.E shops and each shop recommends me different brand of set up. This is really making me [dizzy] hahahaha........anyway canceling of the pioneer headset bring my barged up to 4 to 5k now.I cant really decide wad to get man.

Head unit, it is poineer 8650. I am aiming at it now. Including installation at Darren's is S$700. I think Alpine 9833/35 is also a decent set. Anyway, I am going budget. Small car like mine can't handle expensive system [laugh]. A little bass from my Infinity series component is already shaking my doors apart. My friend's rear wiper dance to his 12" sub boom! [crazy]

Well, have fun shopping for I.C.Esss!!! Here's a forum where the most serious ICEr hang out. http://forums.delphiforums.com/CarsSoundSystem/start

Like I said, I can't recommend stuff that match your budget. For me, low budget Infinity series or kappa, or the CDT speakers would be enough. For you, you might want to check out the forum I posted previously. A search there might yield satisfactory results.

Didn't you go for the meet-up tonight. I wanted to go, but was tied-up.
