Guys

We are also looking for the best deal on the Airwave. Went to a few PIs at the Megamart Ubi and the difference in price is quite amazing. We just wanted the airwave with skyroof.

Pinnacle quoted 71k with guatee COE including cd changer or MP3 and if we want the active package just add another 2k.

Active package includes: different fabric for the seats and boot area (water proof so they say), fog lights and body skirting. Also must have minimum 7 year 80% loan at 3% interest perannum and also must get them to do the insurance application for you (insurance must stay for at least one year). I asked why? they said they will get commision from the loan institution and also insurance company...so I thought ok, fair enough.

Then we went to the next showroom (a few doors away but can't remember the name), the price is 1k more for the same specs. Also guaranteed COE (4 bids around two months). ALso similar type loan arrangement as pinnacle.

The last stop was the most amazing, which is upstairs. We were quoted $68,600 this is with sky roof. I did confirm three times to the sales man to make sure that he is quoting the price with skyroof. He said 'Yes definitely'. He said that his is just the basic airwave + skyroof. The loan arrangement is at 90% for min 7 years. This is fine with us as we will probably borrow 90% anyway (ok, he may be getting a bigger commission)

Now, I need advice here. I have checked his basic airwave with skyroof and the only different to the other two airwaves we saw that day is only the exclusion of the cd changer or MP3 player. But I was thinking, I could just get that myself outside, the cd given at Pinnacle or the other dealer is only a basic player anyway and only covers half of the space. The other half is covered with a piece of plastic. Now we did not ask on the OMV value so maybe that could be the difference. Tell me guys, is there anything else I am missing or not considering here???? [flowerface]

Hi everyone.

I'm new here... BTW, I have book the Airwave last week and will collecting the car this coming Monday... [;)]

For the past week, I have look at different forums about Airwave and this is the only forum where people have purchase the car... [nod]

Understanding lots of people is worry of the bad reputation on the PI... well it depends on luck but there is some place when is a con-shop name P....... did have a bad experience there and did read some forums complaint about them too.

Well...good luck to you guys...just be careful :)

It seem some of you did have a good quote from different PI.... I had purchase it at 84.5K [:(] which come with glass roof, bodykit, HID light, toner cover, waterproof mat, leather seat, 7 Speed with the + & - control, reverse sensor, 15" original sport rim, digital aircon, solar film, fog light & a cheap JVC 12 cd changer....if you bro & sis have all this at 70+ - 80K.. GO for it..is a good buy.

BTW, anyone is interseted in the bodykit?? want to sell and change to other brands like Mugen... Or let's mass order for Mugen Kit for a good price.

Hope to see you guys if there is any meet up...

Cheers

hi Longblack,

How come yours was $84.5k? because of the bodykit and HID?

or 7 Speed tiptronic control? Does the steering wheel have the + - button also?

Last month when i check, it was like 73k for the sunroof and 69K for normal. Got free servicing somemore.

Kind of like it but it's a bit high for a 1.5L but it's definitely a turner [thumbsup] , remember to post photos when you collect the car.

BTW, what's a toner cover? Does it come with a laser printer too?

Cheers...

Hi Sony,

How come is 84.5... beats me [dizzy].... The OMV is about 26K.

Is a paddle shift behind the steering wheel with a small button 7-speed on the steering wheel....

Servicing is 5 years free on labor only..

Lots of people say is high for a 1.5L too [dizzy] well... is done is done :)

Toner cover - to cover the luggage compartment..extractable/roller type...

as for the printer... no laser only bubble jet [:p]

Cheers

Still looking ard.....airwave do tempt me but i do felt that it's a bit on d high side 4 a 1.5l [hur]

Sometimes car price can't measure by the capacity... got to base on the OMV and features of the car... Look at RX-8, 1.3L only yet selling about 110K but the OMV, power and look is good enough to make you smile... I'm driving a Megane Hatch which 6 airbag, Automatic headlight, rain sensor...etc at the price tag of 87K (2003, Nov)... Though is 1.6 but the features is similar to a 2L car and others japan high-end model.

Bascially, buy a car you like and enjoy the ride....so what is 1.5L or 2L... If 2L, you will start to worry about roadtax, insurance & petrol consumption...

Happy hunting for your love car.. :)

Cheers

Hi All

Just joined this forum. Look forward to learning and sharing more about Airwave with you all. Like LONGBLACK, I have also booked my AIRWAVE (1.5 G Skyroof) from CarTimes, and expected to collect it in the middle of Sept. Too many Blacks around, hence I opt for Green colour instead.

With limited Airwave owners around, sure a good platform to share tips on servicing and accessories.

FYI, I hv actually scout around for 2 weeks b4 deciding on CarTimes. Pinnacle offers the most comeptitive price then followed by Hup Long. Both have No Stock ( or pay high price for immediate delivery c/w limited colour available), Cannot give clear OMV value, Poor Trade-In Value for my curret car + not comfortable with the SE that I met. Moreover many "negative comments" by other Industry players.

Chip Guang, SG, Hua Yang & HY CARZ on the other hand have Professional SE + offers 2~3K more but the Poor Trade-In Value and No-Stock turns me away. CarTimes is where "East" meets "West" and decided to go with them eventhough they offer 1 year warranty or 20,000km i.e. not the standard PI norm.

LONGBLACK's Airwave is the ACTIVE PACKAGE (Body Kit + Fog Lamp ) & is a L series ( c/w 7 speed CVT manual shift + Auto Air-Con + Chrome Interior door knob + Immobiliser ). Congrats to your elite Airwave Config. Mine is just a Basic Model i.e. G series.

Never test drive one. Do give your feedback after next Monday.

Cheers!

Hi Airwave05,

Thanks for sharing the info & wonderful feedback... I believe this will help those who looking for what they want and whom they deal with..

As for the servicing, I was given only 1 year warranty too... [rolleyes] did read some thread that some PI is giving 3 years... how ture is it...?

Congrats to your ride too... [;)]

I did test drive on the Airwave after confirm on the booking. To be honest, the drive is normal... can say ok... maybe keep looking at the sky from the glass roof..

BTW, interested in getting the Mugen Kit or others...

hope to see you soon...
