using FireHawk (BridgeStone subsidiary) Wide Oval R15 better grip and lower noise then my previous S drive though made in Thailand, can feel immediately after changing, in fact it rank higher then S drive but cost lower, $80+ per piece. Popular in oversea but not in SG.

what is the reason why it is not popular here?

At the moment using Hankook Optimo K415 15 inches.

So far so good. From the spec

"High-performance tire with superb wet/dry handling performance. Optimized four straight grooves ensure ultra-effective water drainage. Centre rib block enhances handling and braking. Shoulder block multi-kerfs provide a smooth ride."

Don't know, maybe they produce mainly bigger diameter where more suitable for oversea and maybe their tire size is not popular in SG. Mine is 185/55/15 also not popular in SG that's why I got this brand. Other brand same size more expansive. BTW its an Ultra performance tire, higer then High performance tire, where can you get UH tire for this price.

agree... how is the lifespan of the tire?

still new, so can't tell you the lifespan, but the groove quite deep, so I think can last 30k~40k. The review says about the same as S drive, my S drive lasted about 1

Hankook is crap seriously. Pls do consider carefully before you buy Hankook tyres. Speaking from personal experience. Cheers!

I'm on Falken ZE912. 195/50-R15. They are decently priced and performance is decent for the price. Acceptable dry and wet grip, considering that I corner quite hard. Only complain is that it's getting noisier.

Another good choice is Goodyear Eagle F1, but it's slightly more expensive but i don't feel significant difference in performance.

people can argue what tyres are good and what aquaplanes and all, but it's knowing your car's limits and working within your budget.

hi,

i was very pleased with bridgestone RE-01.

excellent grip, quiet and comfort.

rear tyres stay in-line very well in bends.

however it wears faster due to softer compound.

bought 16" @S$150, dunno how much is 15".

falken 912 are well priced for its drive.

cheers.
